It appears BNSF Railway has finally begun a heritage fleet. Much to the foamie's delight.
Although, its a tad different of a brand from Union Pacific, Amtrak and Norfolk Southern...BNSF is doing freight cars, of all things.

Above is a link to the first of three Great Northern painted hoppers. Supposedly, there will be 27 in all with three going to each road.

Of course, in a matter of a few weeks, they will be even more colorful, as below:

BNSF is getting there, not quite to a real heritage fleet, but we can at least give them props for trying.
Not sure though who will enjoy these cars more, the railfans or the taggers? :hehe:

Cheers,
Woody

it will be nice to see a fallen flag road names on the rolling stock but do they made just 1 car for each railroad name that build up bnsf?
1 freight car i think is not enough for heritage purpose

I say that any sort of heritage equipment is pretty cool. Now hopefully they will add some more color to the mix.
