BNSF Clovis Sub

Hi Ex

I know it doesn't help when somebody posts back 'Huh- It works for me!' and I know you are trying for success in Native Mode, but out of curiosity I just installed Clovis2 and I get this in the same area as your top screenie, straight-out-of-the-box into TS2010 SP3 in Compatibility Mode with nothing 'fixed' ...

I ran a very simple session, one train only, but ran at about 50-60fps with draw distance set at 3k meters. I know the route should run faster and look better in Native, and I know a more complex session will slow it down some, but 50-60fps is about good enough for me!

Looking at your shot of those B40s I suspect also that there is some conflict in your screen res, they look kinda stretched out. I had the same effect in TS2010 when I first installed it. No matter what settings I tried I could not get a 'natural' look to it till I tried it windowed, which made a world of difference both to appearance and performance. Might be worth trying...

Hello Andy.

Thanks for your help, however, things still don't work properly for me, you've obviously got the knack of handling TS2010's little quirks, I haven't and certainly don't have the patience anymore.....The route loads straight "out of the box" superbly in my TRS2007, so, I'm sure that it's the new CMP that's causing all the problems and faffing around trying to remember compatability mode and everything else, it's a complete nightmare, I wonder how new players to the game manage.
I also got about 50-60 fps when I played on your route, albeit for just a few miles, so, I know that it can ran OK, if only I could get the buildings and textures fixed, without them, the layout looks quite bare and obtrusive.
Unsure about my screenshot of the B40 locos, I did amend my trainzoptions to have fov cameras set at 90 degrees both inside and outside the locomotives, it might be the angle of the shot that makes them look stretched, I never like the default set angle of 60 degrees, so, have always altered it accordingly.
Not being able to operate my Payware locomotives without repairing them first caused great consternation and swearing, I archived them directly from my TRS2007 version, and every one of them ran fine and the config txts were absolutely spot on, no errors, nothing, so, I am not amused at having literally spent hundreds, and hundreds of US dollars from Jointed Rail and RRMods, for such excellent creations, for every one of them, after installing them into the game, to have to be repaired before I can run them in TS2010, it's just not on.....
There is also no new content ( locomotives-rolling stock ) to download and attempt to run in the new game, and if there is, it's certainly not on the DLS, which is where everyone goes to in the first instance, apart from our American Trainzers with their Payware assets, there's nothing brand new suitable to operate on your wonderful American route, I can't use British stuff......

I will continue to use TRS2007, but, that's all, at least I can still play the game properly, even in German.....:hehe:

Cheerz buddy, have a good christmas down-under.

Steve.

Sorry Ex, but I can't let this kind of hooey go uncommented on.

For the benefit of others who may read this, who don't have such a closed mind - there are 465 assets in the locomotive category on the DLS at version 2.8 and higher.

None of these are available to a user of TRS2007.

Go get 'em folks.

Back On Topic :)

Where did you get your asome Well Cars From ? i have no access to the download station so i cant get any dependinces.

The well cars are cnr's from TPR Downloads. If memory serves they are under Rolling Stock > Flatcars.

There are several sets including some modified for the Clovis sessions...

Ok - back working on Clovis 3 again. The route will be TS2010 Native Mode complete with 3D trees, mostly Pofigs, but also whatever else catches my eye.

Clovis 3 will not only extend C2 but the route is up for a total remake. New ground textures, more background vegetation and improved trackwork are at the top of a long list of improvements I hope to make.

These are the first TS2010 screenshots, from a test area around Belen. No screenshot from here on is 'tarted up', everything is What You See Is What You Get, except the track which is a temporary place holder till something I like comes along which is more appropriate to the route...

Andy, you've made my day. This is great news. Clovis Sub is the best US route available for Trainz bar none, IMO.
Cheers

Things are moving. Andy, you should be careful. My trees are like drugs. It is very difficult to return to the flora of the plywood. :hehe: Good luck.

P.S. I'm working on a package of vegetation for EK3. Will soon be available.
