anyone have any idea what is going on ,,,keeps blue screening when i try to reinstall a route ,

Steve,

A BSOD can be caused by many things ranging from bad memory to corrupted data, and including a bad hard disk.

Go into your Control Panel and choose System, System properties, Advanced tab, and uncheck automatic restart.

This will allow you to see the Stop error that has caused the problem.

You can then look up the error using Bing or Google.

There is also a statement in the BSOD that may say something like Error reading hard drive, or something about a driver. This is helpful in understanding what is causing the problem.

I keep getting the same thing now too!

I was in CM3.3 and the machine rebooted with a BSOD.
I ran diags on the mobo, memory and hard drives, and everything is fine.
The video drivers are the same I've been using since early November.

I'm reinstalling and will see if that works.

Have a look in event viewer, may give you a clue as to what the problem may be.

Interestingly my computer, which is a brand new build, started having the same problem on the same day that you posted.

Yesterday I opened Trainz, loaded my usual layout in Surveyor to see what would happen without me actually touching it and nothing happened, for about an hour and a half. Suddenly the BSOD reared it's head and I had not touched one key or even bumped the mouse. I've never had this problem before and I wonder if it's Windows 7/64 bit related as I was previously using 32 bit for months with no problems. Of course it could be a faulty stick of memory.

So, I'm wondering, how did you fix your problem? By the way, it doesnt seem to be a problem with anything else I use on the same computer. It's still strange that mine started crashing the same day yours did though.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

i reformated the computer again loaded the OS WINDOWS 7 64BIT then i loaded new video card drivers and installed trainz in admin and rebooted after every up date or service pack,then it was fixed
make sure you install trainz in admin and all service packs ,
i still dont know why after i insalled service pack 3 that took my build to 44088 it told me there was another patch avalible,44088 is the latest got know idea why it also referred to sys 32 so hey who knows check your directx 9.c is installed as well.
