Blender 2.6 Normal Maps

Greetings;

Having fixed everything else, one problem remains in my great Blender 2.6 adventure.

Using Paint Shop Pro, I created and 1024 x 1024 uncompressed, 24 bit tga brick pattern and saved it into a file. Then I went into Blender 2.6, made a 4 by 4 meter cube and mapped the tga file to the cube. I exported the cube into TS2010. Went into surveyor, got the cube and installed on the grid. Looked nice.

Next, using the same tga pattern and using a bump making program, I created a normal map for the tga pattern.

In Blender, I added the normal map to the cube. In Blender, the tga and the normal map work correctly when rendered in Blender.

Exporting the same tga file and the associated normal map into TS2010, it loads just fine, no complaints from the Content Manager. However, when I install the cube into Surveyor, it shows up as a bluish cube.

I have tried everything I can think of to correct the problem but nothing works.

However, when I do the same thing using Blender 2.49, then everything works perfectly--I get a nice cube in Surveyor.

That is the last problem I have yet to solve in Blender 2.6

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

srude
