(Big Pix Warning) Hardly Workin': My Attempts to be a Contributing Member of Society

BN also had high short hoods from the GN. I actually feel dirty doing low hoods first since I usually model Southern and NW stuff. WP also had the high hoods. Once I finish mapping these I'll do those

The dynamic brake and 36' fan grills were incorrect and have been fixed. I also adjusted the long hood font size and stripe angle. This is just about ready and only needs its hoses, trucks, and number boards.

The Amfleets are still out there. I just got on the highway to the GP20 zone and haven't found a good exit to get off at yet. I also just saw that JR has a CB&Q GP7 on deck so now I really want to get the GP20 in-game to run with it.

Just lovely. This will go excellent with the BNSF heritage fleet. The texturing thus far is deservedly JR-standard.

I can't decide if I like this or the ATSF one better. The again, the CB&Q one is there too... Oh well.

Pretty nice work...

Just a heads up, the round plate above the numberboards was a ATSF only thing, it was where they located the Radio antenna.

Woohoo! That looks sweet! You're making great progress with these 20's. Also, I have to agree with you on the F45's and BSB.

I knew about the ATSF eyebrow plate thingy, but I haven't been bothered to lop it off the other models yet. I was going to go back and do it when I add the light, horn, and bell configurations to each version. Looking back at the GN ones I just noticed they have the older GP7/9 fuel tank set up.

What's special about BN 2002?

I was looking through some older model files and this might be worth salvaging. 50' PS-1 Boxcar built in the mid 50s to 60s. They stayed in service until the 80s with various modifications and rebuilds.

These were scrapped or sold off to short lines in the late 70s and 80s - long before ditch lights were mandated. A handful of ATSF rebuilds lasted into the late 90s, but there couldn't have been many of them.

Here is another from the archives that is worth revisiting. A Greenville Steel 86' auto parts car based on an ICG prototype from the early 70s, but the cars also date back to the mid 60s on the PRR, N&W, and EL at a minimum.
