Better lighting?

Is it possible to have the trains in the game be better illuminated? I fired up a route in 2010 and it looks like its a mod of some sort. Spelling errors in the instructions, etc and the train itself was way over saturated in terms of color and seemed out of place when compared to the route itself. Can this game be modded at all? I'm very new to trainz so sorry if this is a dumb question.

Many of the routes are made by non-professionals, and accurate spelling etc. is not the authors' priority. Some of the older assets are not made completely within specifications, and might react strangely to lighting.

On the other hand there are some incredibly realistic and detailed models made by our most expert creators.

You can change just about everything and anything in Trainz, and even start your own route from scratch.

And indeed as RRSignal says, you can change the lighting.

When I started in Trainz everything was much too bright and "Disneyland" for my liking. But I quickly found ways to get that 1950's gloomy, dirty appearance that I wanted!:hehe:
