I'm trying to find the best layout or route to run mainly freight but with some amtrak action as well. I'd prefer it being in a semi north eastern setting, but at this point any will do...any suggestions?

Hello there, for TRS2004 or TRS2006, may I suggest you download NEC ( North East Corridor ) off the DLS KUID 47583:100009. An excellent layout, for both Amtrak passenger trains and freight consists, it'll keep you happy for hours..Another great layout is a snowy, winter route also available off the DLS: KUID 7592:1656604 Regional Passenger Transit 2005 by Euphod. Another wonderfully created layout for both Passenger and Freight trains, which can also be used in the same setting, but it isn't electrified, whereas the other one is...

Industrail 1a/8a.

Any of Neil's routes (neilsmith749) will work also. You need a decent system for all the eye candy he puts in though. :eek:

Thanks for the info on NEC. I enjoyed many hours running NEC sessions on MSTS, but I don't find any NEC sessions on Trainz for either Trainz 2004 or 2006. Do you know of any?

Thanks,
Ted

Yeah Midwest Central is a great layout, its created so you can do long runs or shorter locals from the yards....or both of course. Its one of my favourites and I never get bored with it, so many options without being overly complicated.

Hi. I'm apparently not able to download the NEC Wilmington to Philly route, <kuid:47583:100009> on TS2010. I get a red bar over it in downloadhelper and a red bar across the bottom indicating (I think) many, various dependencies that failed, such as "Unable to download 'Footbridge Spam 4 tracks (No Catenary)'. Couldn't obtain a download URL. Item cannot be found at..." Any suggestions?

I am looking for something like the tidewater 1&2 scenarios. just tell me what needs to be done. also the longer the better, 70 minutes was long, but I am looking for hours worth.( need to do something before an after work :-) )) I have looked at the DLS, but there are soo many, an I am kinda new to this, so any thing will help

Thanks

Go to the DLS.

Make sure TRS2004 is selected under "Trainz Versions".

"Text Search" = philskene

"Category" = Session

The text will give the estimated duration of the session. Most are 1+h.
