Berkshire are back!!!!!!!!!

But colorado71 graciously released freeware 2-8-4's for us already; seems a little redundant...

I have those Berkshire from Colorado71 and Cumberland trainz payware.. Does matter to me. I hope look real more things trainz in future and more fun!!!

So what happens to all the people who haven't been caught up in the SP1 debacle. Are we to be excluded from any future DLCs?
Previously I have purchased a number of DLCs but no more if this is the case.
I will also not be buying whatever the next platform wil be,
Cheers,
Mike

Most likely so, unfortunately.

Did you buy it? If so I'd like to hear more.

I can't tell squat from the images, there's no list of what's included or their features (does the caboose have an interior? Boxcars have auto running numbers?) - who make the model?

And after my getting the Blue Comet, which frankly looks nice, but sounds awful - I think I'll pass unless I start hearing some awful good reviews.

(Including how much does it blow off the SAFETY VALVE)

I'd buy it but until the Murchison 2 re-install ad infinitum bug is fixed I won't be doing any more DLC because as soon as I'd get this, I'd be re-installed Murch 2 again.
Is there a way to get it outside of the automatic download within Trainz?
Good Evening Wkwood
We are aware of the re-download issue with Murchison2 and we are working on a fix. Unfortunately, this is taking longer than preferred, but we are working on this. This issue will not effect any other packs, and has not occurred with any other packs (except if the pack has become corrupted during download).

If you do wish to purchase, or re-download, any other DLC packs then you can do so without fully re-downloading the Murchison2 pack. This is done by simply cancelling the Murchison2 downloads before they start downloading (there is a few second delay, so you may download a meg or two). My second install of Trainz only has a couple of packs installed, but my account has them all. I just cancel the ones I don't want, the same would apply if you had any other DLC's that you may not wish to have installed.

Also, for those who have inquired, we do not plan to release any DLC packs via other means in future.

Regards

Thanks Zec, we've exchanged e-mails on the subject already but my point is that if I were to buy this what's to stop me from downloading another 2GB of Murchison II and re-installing it again? The only thing that's stopping that is disabling Automatic Content Download which I'd have to re-enable to download this, right? So I buy this, install it and now I have to go into Trainz to get the content. Guess who's coming along for the ride, again, it's our old pal Murchison II. So, that bug is preventing me from buying this now because of the repetitive installation problem and the ghost content in Murchison II. The Engine Spec problems are another annoyance as well because you can't run any Steam Locomotives in Murchison II in Cab Mode. I see other folks fixing their engine specs but when can current customers at 58414 level of Trainz expect to get engine specs fixed in Murchison II?

Don't get me wrong I like Murchison II but the other problems with it are also troubling even with being at SP1, HF3 etc. I also have Blue Comet, Settle and Carlisle, Dutchess etc. but no problems with those, you're 100% correct on that point; knock wood.

I like what I see here sans the misspelling of Nickel and would buy it in a heart beat, that is if there wasn't another bug or two that I'd have to climb over to get it.

You don't need to turn the automatically update DLC function back on. You can instead force Trainz to download the pack by clicking on the 'Get Content' icon on the main menu, then click on 'Redownload All Purchases'. As per my previous post, cancel any extra downloads that may start (canceling the other downloads will not effect the NKP Pack's download). Yes, the Murchison2 pack will start downloading, but you can simply cancel it to prevent it downloading (you may download 1-2MB depending on how quickly you cancel it, and your connection speed).

Is there any way to change the whistle sound on the Berkshire because I would prefer a different whistle sound. And a bell that sounds faster. I have other whistle sounds from 765 and NKP Berkshires, Nathan 6 chimes. I can clone it, but can't commit the clone. I know, it's probably locked because of piracy. You can't make a copy under your KUID. But, you probably can't edit the original, either. So, am I stuck with the default whistle sound? All I want to do is change the whistle kuid in the config.

Good Morning Rwk
At this time it is not possible to edit the assets in the DLC pack, such as to change the horn or enginesound assets. However, we may look into improving these in future.

What do you mean Good Morning, lol? It's night time. Unless it's morning where you're at. Is Australia daytime now? It's evening after 9 pm in Pennsylvania, USA where I'm at. So, the assets are not editable. But, I can clone and view the contents by selecting edit in explorer but I can't commit them, it throws up an error saying not authorised for editing. I have some nice whistles for the Nickel Plate Berkshire that I downloaded and a bell with the correct rate. I guess I'll have to live with the current whistle and bell sounds until a way is found to commit a cloned copy of the locomotive. I tried adding lines to the config under privileges, permit-commit 1 permit-edit 1 and it still didn't commit. Then I read that the privileges container only takes effect when content is packaged for distribution with Trainz or an official Trainz addon pack.
