Have been searching DLS looking for a driver point of view command/script/rule, I don't know the best term, I had downloaded in Trainz 2006/2009 on a computer which died a couple years ago and was unrecoverable.
As you have already deduced, I'm not finding it. And having zero memory of its name is not helping.

What it did was slide the driver POV origin point side to side, left or right, to put it outside of cab like you are leaning out the cab side window.
Or even standing/sitting in center of cab.
Then from that point you could to the regular pivot and tilt to look up, down, forward, back.
Was quite handy for switching operations when operating from the driver position.

Would very much like to have that function in TANE
Because, for example, when backing up this SW1500 the origin of the view rearward is stuck at panel between cab's back door and rear window,

Aha! Looking within TANE itself just found it, or what sure behaves like it!
:D
Main Menu button in driver/surveyor window.
Settings
General Settings
is in lower part of that window under
Advanced Settings for content developers
> click "Enable free internal camera"

And ... Yes!
