Baseboard Anomaly in TS12

Hey guys,

I'm working on a large NYCTA subway route, and when I went around to deleting baseboards (so I could save a specific line under a different name), I kept getting this weird thing happening where part of the tracks would still be visible and appear in midair. Even with cloning the route, or trying to merge it to a blank one, these phantom objects won't go away. I don't want to have to manually delete 75% of the board, and would rather delete the baseboards and be done with it. Anyone know why this would happen? Btw, if it helps any, I'm running native TS12, build 49922. My beta testers I've spoken to who have newer builds have reported the same issue with my route.

Thanks!

I had similar problems with every route i was ever working on. TS12, 50027 (49922 in german language) here. just to add...it seems like a common problem

You haven't mentioned whether you attempted to manually delete or reposition the orphaned tracks. Check the layer situation too.

When this occurs I just drop in an empty baseboard below it and then delete it. The baseboard can then be removed as well.

This normally happens because a track spline crosses two boards
I look in mini-map and where a track crosses onto the board I want to remove I just Delete it

I've had that occur with roads and tracks as well and the problem is not just related to TS12 SP1 HF4. I've seen this as far back as TRS2004 when reconfiguring routes for merging. It look odd to see 'flying' cars off in the distance long after the route bits have been merged together and the terrain landscaped.

The only solution I have is the one that Mick mentioned. If you have floaters left over much later, stick a blank board out to that point from the nearest land and delete the bits, and then delete the blank boards.
