Backup dvd to thumb drive

Howdy: I purchased a dvd version of Trainz 2006 many,many,many years ago. I still use an older computer but would like to back up my dvd onto a thumb drive. Can I just copy the files off the dvd or do I need to get som waver or something from n3v games? I presently don't have any money to upgrade my computer or my trainz platform. Thanks for the help.

You can just copy the files but you'll need the serial number.

I think you can still get TRS2009 for free by signing up to the newsletter and currently TANE is on offer for $10 https://store.trainzportal.com/collections/best-sellers/products/trainz-a-new-era.

I'd go TANE you'll get better performance from your hardware and more models available with fewer errors.
