After being disappointed with TANE, I've been gone for awhile. I hesitated on the fence regarding Trainz 2019, but after reading posts on the forum, I've decided to give Trainz another try. I decided the Gold sub was best for me, I'm disabled and money is spare. I'm optimistic that the 19 version will get better and better. I think Auran has done a good job making up for TANE, and I think Tony Hilliam is redeeming good will. Graphically, Trainz 19 looks better in some ways, the same in others (still pretty chunky terrain changes, water edges still squared or jagged). That might improve in future. Just wanted to say I'm giving Trainz another try, and hope the future changes keep improving.
