Fun route
This is basically a fun route and began life as a tester for using portals. It kind of 'grew'.
So you start standing at Avalon and control trains as they arrive. You will need to reset the portals to suit your own preferences of course, there are 9 of them so allow plenty of time between trains. It will be possible to still run a frantic route taking 2 out. But try it first. It can get hair-raising...
There is a large MPD beside the Avalon station for both modern (for me, that means diesels) and a preserved railway that has full running rights so steamers definitely are an option, which widens the horizons amazingly.
It is asset intensive, so be warned.
The design is such that there are return loops as well as portals and a fair dollop of goods working with a docks and farms that produce all sorts of things. Well they will, they're Mystical - like me!
Many places are named and/or have strange effects, mainly big mists, so look out for those, not that you can miss them.

i've just tried to download Avalon and i downloaded the route via cdp then i went to download the assets the download helper said Insufficient download quota remaining. error: unable to contact download station. can someone please help:'(

I didn't even know it was on the DS - shows how far behind I am.
I can't understand those faults. If it's gone up it should be okay, but we had better wait until a few more downloads go through then it will be clear if there is a fault or not.

Came down fine
I just started the download, no problems, it said just over 12 minutes and ran for a while.
And it stands at 45 so far, so it looks like something your end...
Maybe some kind soul will have a suggestion or two to help.
It might be that you have been downloading a lot lately and run out of your allowance?

I've already been on that site and everything under Painted Grace is Kuid 149987 not Kuid 52.
I know Vendel goes under Kuid 52 cause I have a load of his stuff under that Kuid as well as 149987.
If I type 'Vendel' in the search box I get 2 items of rolling stock and that's it.

thanks for your help but I fear it might be academic whether I get these or not.
I tried to run your route anyway to see what it was like and my computer (which I thought was fast) just froze up on the opening screen.
I tried moving around but I was getting -100 FPS and it used up so much memory I had to force a shutdown.
so, I'm very sorry but my comp isn't up to it I'm afraid:'(
I'll keep it tho, in case I ever get a better comp.

Let it fully load
It will be important to allow this route to fully load in Surveyor of you want to look at it or to reduce assets to improve frame rates.
If you have a mid-range PC then get into Surveyor and seriously reduce the draw distances, detail level and put in FULL day time fog effect in Specs.
This will help a lot and should let it run on most PCs.
The other thing is to move the viewpoint to directly above Avalon station, that is so you are looking directly downwards, until you are away from it, that will also help speed running up.

May I offer some assistance here Angela, KUID 211025 is Russian and can be found on this website :- http://www.trainz.ru/index.php?action=download&category=18&game=2
I think it's the 4th item down, but you can see the kuid numbers quoted. The other missing item KUID2:125373:4004:2 was created by Andy Littlejohns, better known to you and I as Great Eastern. Now the above number is FGW Info Board 01 which is on the DLS, however, the item missing is version 4, so I'm unsure if it's on his own website, or not.....If it isn't then download this item and change the kuid number in the config.txt accordingly.
Cathouse, have you got any items that need repairing for this route, young man ??
Also, don't forget, that on occassions surveyor will freeze up when you go into it if it cannot locate vital ingredients to the map, such as rail-track, etc, which you seem to be missing at the moment....Ensure you have all the assets installed and there is nothing missing or broken and then try surveyor again and as Angela suggests, move your cursor away from any built-up area to get a better frame rate, before you start exploring the route.

Have you considered doing a winter route at all, I'm sure you would make a lovely job of it with your creative talent.

Many thanks for stepping into the gaping breach once again. I now have 2 Guardian Angels, My spirit one and you!
I have no idea how I got off-the-DS assets, but I plainly have. It's the old grey matter, going wonky or going completely, not sure which.
There are no HOG (Hand Of God) textures on this route, or at least there shouldn't be. I will still run TO on it soon and then I will be able to see things more clearly. As Terminator would say - I'll be back!
All great minds etc, I have been considering creating or redoing a route in a white suit for about a week now. There is a certain skill with winter scenes, making the texture look deep for one thing, which it isn't, and that will take some though and experiment. I applaud those that have done this with great levels of accuracy.
If not a new route then I had considered redoing the K&ESR, but that's a big job, almost as big as when I first did it. But it would lend itself and most certainly was covered in snow many times during its lifetime.
Right now I am 'fiddling' with Bristol Temple Meads station and the AJS station kit parts. In a few minutes I should be able to put a screenie up for you to see. But it is a challenging station to say the least. It is raised, which doesn't help matters! It has two rivers and at least one road running right under it and that makes for even more problems.
I got the track plan from Planning Portal but not the ground elevations and I think a DEM would be a disaster because of the way it tries to compensate for sudden dips and rises, especially a river, as I found out when working on the Reading-Westbury section of the WCL. So it would be a hand made contoured ground plan. I haven't an OS map of that area so at present it's flat... and I wish it was, makes life so much simpler.
If I keep going (this is what happened to Avalon - I fiddled and then got carried away - and maybe I should be before anybody suggests it) I am not sure where to stop. Not being able to concentrate since Alan passed is making large routes impossible for me, it's the reason I didn't finish to Westbury and why Avalon runs to portals and short loops, so I don't want to go to Reading or anywhere else for that matter. In that case it would be portals...
Any suggestions (appropriate) are welcome.

I have been in touch with Segy to ask if the asset made for 2006 can be redone for 04, this is the station canopy, but he may be very busy and I have not had a reply as yet.

Now I'm even more confused.
first off, thanks to ex-railwayman for the links.
I've now got those 2 items and I'll change the kuid to match.
There are no broken assets, every time I download anything I always run TO first and try to fix any sillys like missing brackets and such, my download folder is about 15 gig now and I can run TO with full error checking and not flag anything up.
as for the 5 items by the Painted Grace workgroup IE Vendel & Sura, I have looked all over Trainz.hu and cannot see anything.

That Beton Zavod can safely be deleted. It is a quadruple silo near the Gewain station and in that big goods yard.
Why not mail vendel and ask about those problem assets, he's a nice guy (must be to do all the work he does) and I am sure he will help you out.
I do have a notion that site has been updated so why not go ask?
Are you running 06? I use 04 and was wondering because TO never starts unless I go get it... that happening every time I booted Trainz up would drive me nuts!
