Automatic & Track Control

G'day guys,

just looking for some advise on ways to accurately simulate ATC.

For those not in Victoria: A single line bi-directional system where multiple trains may follow in the same direction on the single line, but if the Home signal at an entrance to the single line section is set to PROCEED, or if a train is in the single line section, the home signal at the opposing entrance is electrically interlocked at STOP.

Any suggestions on simulting this would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi

This, and many other actions such as protection of diamond crossings, can be simulated with the SCS2006 rule available from the DLS. I use variables to indicate when the section of track is occupied and use signals that can be forced to show a red aspect (not all of them can). It does take some getting to grips with but it is well worth the effort if you are looking for ways to automate such actions as you have outlined above. If you're not familiar with the rule make sure that you also download the manual. Although the rule was designed for TRS2006 I have had no problems with it in TC3, 2009 or 2010. There is a forum for help and advice on the Trainz Pro Website at the bottom of the page.

You may have to register to access it but registration is free.
