Automatic pantographs

For some reason, whenever an engine moves under AI control, the pantograph goes up automatically. Normally, this wouldn't be an is sure, but it's worse with SI3D's 2010 Gordon model: the dome keeps coming off! Can somebody please help me fix this pantograph issue?

I've noticed this with the Acela - the doors are mapped to a.pant0 and the pantograph to a.pant1, so whenever the AI takes the train, the pantographs don't raise, but instead the doors open.

Here's the fix: Tell the driver to raise the rear pantograph (scheduled) as its first command.

Doors assigned to the pantograph?

Man, and here I thought mapping retractable landing lights to the exit doors was some weak minded, um, work. (witnessed in Flight Simulator)

:hehe:

FSFrance Concorde. Made it real interesting the first time I flew it with FSPassengers running. As I depoyed the lights, the program felt I had opened the doors mid flight. (exit 1 was the "normal" doors, exit 2 was the landing lights, IIRC)

I have the SI3D 2010 Baked Model Gordan, and this doesn't happen to me!

Probably because you're driving it manually: whenever I give a driver a command on Gordon, that's when the dome comes off.

ZeldaBoy, can you make sure that your Trainz serial numbers are properly associated with your account? If you need to merge accounts, I suggest creating a Helpdesk ticket.

Hi, firstly, I apologise for not currently being a registered member, but that will be fixed in the next few days. I have solved the raised pantograph issue in AI for myself in a scenario I devised on my layout and would gladly share how it's done.

Well, can you please tell us?

I run Sydney Suburban 4 car electric multiple unit sets. They have a power car at each end and trailers in the middle. I attached the Class 390 Pendolino invisible pantograph to all of my trailer cars in the config files and use Erendir's pantograph control order. They are totally invisible in surveyor and driver and AI doesn't know the difference. I use this to attach a loco to my sets to drag them through a carriage wash with the pantos down as per the prototype.
