Australian screenshots

Looks accurate to me, beside the Old K class in the 60s, but I disobey that rule all the time :p :hehe:

Look forward to more:D
Now, back to this N scale K class Kit :D

always good to see someone leave on their own terms
I havent left, I'm just not doing content. Anything that isn't released wont be. Bear, if you have the 85 and 86 working in 10 or 12 feel free to release them as your own.

cheers

Pete,

Poor wording on my part, I meant to imply that it was better you could finish up on your own terms, as opposed to being forced out by the direction the company is taking the game.

As several people have shown quite a bit of interest in my current project, the Oz SCT Class locomotive, arguable the finest unit running on Oz tracks and as I have been asked by some to show what progress I made so far, well, to save myself answering each email with some pictures, here are some WiP screenshots.

Disregard the bogies in the pictures, I haven't started on these yet and also all the loose bits and pieces around the SCT 003 are possibly needed and still to be fitted. Obviously, most textures still need to be done and lots of extra details need still to be added plus the bogies are not made yet but one can see quite some progress has been made by me in just some 3 weeks of work on this locomotive. No proper specular nor any normal mapping has been used or enabled as yet, hence some of the details are not highlighted or shown as these would be when finished.

The other thing to note, when taking close up screenshots, the way the game is programmed it does distort (fish-eye lens) the screenshot.

Bridgewater- Adelaide to Murray Bridge Line

Hi All,
As many of you know I am working on the Adelaide to Murray Bridge Line. Since Uni has finished for the year it has allowed me to really get back into gear with this. So far the line has just got to Bridgewater, which is just past Mount Lofty for those who aren't familiar with this line. This station was the terminus for the Adelaide - Bridgewater Suburban services and had a distinct building with a mural painted on it. For this reason I have built the station building in 3ds with this mural and is seen below. Excuse the bare basboards, there is still alot of work to do.

From The Secetery

Hello All,

Looking good everyone, keep it all going strong.
@ sarail, I will be in SA [ aka Home :hehe: } in a few weeks, so I will let you know whats happening and I can show off my SAR S Class which used to roam your new route back in the early days. I am still working on some drivers for a Rx Class. It just needs some fine tweaking and testing. Its all trial and error in content creation as they say!

@targanon, Wait until you see my new revised QGR D17 right down the exact measurements and detail. You are going to love it, I will also send you exclusive items to test out for me. :p

Awesome Mate

as I'm a little stuck with my scripting ....

I've decided to try to learn more about it and have been looking all over the place for guides.. I'm busy downloading content only to pull apart and look into there secrets.. and see how people are doing their stuff.. I'm not copying code just understanding how they do it and finding it in the reference pages I have been plowing through... but still stuck with my industry.. I have got it restricted to only delivering what it needs to deliver and except what its supposed to... but getting it to do it on just those tracks I have 3 to deal with is proving elusive.
anyway enough about my problems I'm glad everyone is getting some time to work on their projects...

Nothing wrong there its a good start.. prolly little more houses then I would have gone for... but hey I'm sure I have done stuff that others would have left alone ... keep it up it gets very rewarding when you see what you have created... then you start wanting a special piece and find you have to create it or go without.. its so good if you can get ya head around the creation bit I think I get as much fun making my route as I do playing with it and others.. I only have 2 I play with... though..

Turn back to 1993

Hello Everyone,

Well, I have turned back the clock closer to our time to 1993. Which is unusual for QGR to do this special task, when I am modelling the steam days.

I am part of the QR City Train project. It has been decided to release the map in various eras in reflection of suburban travel in the past, and as a special request from one of the members in my group for the 1990's map. We have turned back the clock to when Queensland Rail became corporate in 1993. As a special one off for the project, I have reskined the old Auran QR station sign from the Trainz 2004 Content CD pack, and used a period photogragh 1993 Northgate Station sign from my archives. Here is the results of my mock Northgate;
