Australian screenshots

Daniel, I am rather familiar with the are you have screenshot'd'd, and it's scarily accurate! Don't ever apologise for posting screenshots, they are amazing!

Daniel
I agree with Raichase no need to be sorry about the number of shots you post. Also dont feel rushed to release it take your time the routes looking good and will be worth the wait.

Thankyou for all the kind words!

Trent (Rai), well I'm glad it's looking prototypical.

Trent (Tan), really nice shots. Very crisp!

And forest, need I say more?

D9007_Pinza, I can't believe you're using that route. I thought it was a load of junk. haha. How are you finding it? Does it run well? Nice use of a "hired" 10 class:p

---------------------------------------------
The route actually runs very smoothly and still gets quite high frame rates off low end machines. This is because I've built it like you a would a model railway, only detail around the track and use various tricks to make it look just as detailed further away without being.

And keep posting pictures because your shots motivate and inspire everyone else.

Cheers again,
Daniel :D

G'day!

Few shots from a project of mine. I only work on this track occasionally. But, in this area, at least a year and a half has been spent building and tweaking, I've only just got back into building on it. Just to get a few more ideas for other unfinished routes.

This is where most of the work is. All the streets WERE named, but due to a HDD error, they disappeared. :(

This is where the Dual Gauge terminus is. This is quite new. Zec's VR Tracks certainly are impressive!

And Photobucket is being a tosser and being SSSLLLOOOOWWW and won't give me the link code or let me get to the album where the shots are. :'( So this is all for now.

Cheers! :)

Jake.

Just to prove that I am still working on my layout. The first "module" has been completed and is undergoing testing with an included scenario. This is the crossing loop at... erm, I think it's called "Reeves Forest". The platform has long since been closed and the line re-aligned away. The yard has been ripped out and replaced by a crossing loop, which is where 48101 is awaiting the passage of a down passenger service. The loop is approx 1000m long, so perfect for crossing those freighters!

Hello all,

Another evening tinkering in Surveyor

My kids wanted to be in Trainz, so they have some streets named after them, that made them happy :)

Hi guys, I am havng lagging issues.

I have lowered the settings in TS2010, but still there is lagging, could anyone give me suggestions? (I have 2gb of RAM).

Thanks Cameron

Cam, are you using speedtrees? My computer won't handle more than a dozen in the area visible on the screen. I replace them with the old four plane trees from falcon500, Trunda, Jankvis and dmdrake. Still working this process with Daniel's Adamstown route.

Daniel, I can't believe you would say that about a such a quality route  I find the route provides a great operating challenge. I've been slowly rebuilding it to look like it was once was double track like the Richmond Vale line. Also, the SMR 10 class is not loaned. The J&A Brown RODs were shifted to shunting in the late 60s/early70s? on the RVR when a number of 10 class were transferred there.

actually the 10 class replaced the ROD's and Kitsons in the mid 70's... when age finally caught up with them. Conversely a couple of ROD's were 'loaned' to the SMR in the mid - late 60's when an upturn in traffic required it - and there weren't enough 10 class in service at the time ( tho they were all outshopped by the late 60's).

there were also a number of occasions, mainly as a result of flooding at Maitland, when standard goods engines worked on the SMR/RVR

Have you tried using my trees? Very often my vegetation provides better performance than the flat trees with a gray alpha.

While I not presume to challenge Trents screenshot prowess, I've done a bit more work on my town and have some more screenshots to share. 48101 is the subject again, as I didn't bother putting a new consist down...

Cheers,
(The other) Trent
