Australian screenshots

Thanks for the kind words all, This route (Port Levendale) has become a passion for me and I am thoroughly enjoying building it. Shall be a sad day when I decide it is complete. Though I shall begin a new route for sure :)

It runs way better in 2012, than 2010 though. I do all my testing in 2012 as I get nearly double frame rates (Well done Auran).

I shall post a more screen shots today when I get into Trainz later today. House duty this morning to keep wife faction good :)

Cheers

Trent

Your continued postive reviews of 2012 makes me consider the upgrade... Do you have any problems running older content (2004-2009)?

In my opinion mate, 2012 is the best version I have ever used. Most of 2010's content is now on DLS so if you don't have 2010, you can download it all :) if you do, copy the JA files over and put your serial in and all works as intended. I have had minimal issues with content, though I only use content from DLS with Version 2.9 or better except for some content creators (Davido, Natvander etc older creations as most work fine)

I myself was pleased to purchase 2012, and use it to test my route and I am only building it in 2010 (2009 sp4 I not sure if it will work due to Pofigs trees) so more people can check it out, or I would use 2012 exclusively.

Some older content works, it just depends on what it is. I have alot of 2004 era content and have quite abit working, I find mostly old engines are an issue if you dont know how to fix the errors, but most have been updated to conform with 2009/2010 which work fine in 2012.

Wow .... I am indeed very impressed with your progress Trent.
Outstanding detail.... the draw distance is great too :)
I shall be purchasing 2012 very soon, as your screenshots and opinion have convinced me to "fork out" ... lol.
Good on you! and keep up the great work mate.

Cheers!

A few more as I slowly move towards Hammond Yard (See previous screenshots from other day - Shudders at the thought of texturing etc)

Progress shots - Still along ways of completion.

Trent, your screenshots continue to impress, and your positive reviews have convinced me to rethink my initial position on purchasing TRS12. Thankyou for taking the time!

Trent... Outstanding!!... That's not a Trainz Route, it's a work of art. Wow! I'm a big fan of Pofig's trees too.

Dropping in to add a couple of my own...

Dirt or gravel or both.

Gravel, dirt and concrete in sections, I have some ideas/plans for it. But I not a yard person so its daunting me atm. Think I will give parts of it a go soon to have a change from towns and in-between areas, Have been doing those for sometime now (around 70K's worth).

WoW Forest_Runner, you never disappoint, Truly a work of art mate. Was missing not seeing your work for the past week or so. Nice to see you back :) I really like your ability to recreate the yesteryear feel. I always get tones of inspiration from other screenshots here and a few other forum sections. Its amazing how much you can learn/workout etc from seeing others work.

Cheers

Remember, If you run out of inspirsation/need help with textures, open up a built in route and have a look. :)

Hi,

Is there anyway of finding out all the names of the att points in a model without having the model itself?

eg, I'm trying to fix all of Pete's steam locos with more realistic smoke, proper marker lights, steam in correct areas etc and need to know what the att points are called.

Thanks,
Daniel

Slightly belated, but as promised, here is part two of the treasure out of a Hunter Valley cellar:

A safety officer would have me hanged for this shot.

A quick sprint up the embankment near the engine sheds reveals a more overall look at the "departure" sidings as our SMR 10 class clanks past.

An orchestra of clanking buffers, squealling flanges and creaking leaf springs accompanies the procession of antiquated hoppers.

The creaking and groaning of the wagons is joined by the steady exhaust beat as our loco drags it's 409 ton train into the headshunt before setting back into the brake van siding to collect a pair of CHG vans.

Hope you all enjoy. Installment three should be along shortly.

Cheers,
