Half hour?? What is it about you "making scenes in express time" people??

On a serious note, that's coming along really well David. I like it!! Keep going, mate.

:hehe:

Thanks Forest Runner, i was not rushing but was impressed on how it looked. Hopefully i will have some more images tonight when i complete some more. Its currently 9 baseboards based on early NSW.

Cheers

A couple of recommendations to Toolcrank, Aaron + David...

Do: Please post more!!! Loving it.

Guys, coming from this maestro, those words should be taken as the highest possible praise; akin to being personally blessed by the Pope (or religiuos leader of your choice.):p

Keep up the great work everyone.

Don't: Be the Commissioner of any Rail Group ;)
Damn, just as the position for NSWGR Commissioner opened up, as well! Oh well, guess i'll withdraw my application then.:hehe:

@Forest, just wondering if anymore work in the suburbs would be considered by you, or was your last shot, yourlast shot in that area?

I would like to see how you apply your talent to that style of modelling, as i do think the results would be well worth the effort you obviously put into all your route building.

Anyway, hate to pressure you:o, I am just curious.

Matt.

Howdy guys,

a few shots from my WIP, the QR Western Line. For those unfamiliar with the line, it runs from Toowoomba to Charleville, a distance of over 679km.

As I said it is very much still a WIP in progress with a no-where near completion yet. As the route is very large it has been split into 5 sections and Im working on one section at a time and we will release each section when I feel it is ready and when I release the final section I will merge them together and release the whole route, or you can merge them yourself. :)

Hope you guys enjoyed the preview and apologies for the lack of scenery, was more concerned on getting the track and roads laid first.

By the way, would anyone be able to tell me where I can find a regional railway crossing? IE one without lights, just railway crossing and stop signs?

Cheers

John

Stryker's excellent WA crossings can be set in Surveyor to 'passive mode', where instead of boomgates and lights they have railway stop signs (I think I reccomended them once before in this thread ;)).

There is a bug with them in later versions of Trainz though sadly (they're 04 content), but there's a fix for it in the Parts and Labour section, although that's not needed if the crossing's in passive mode.

Otherwise, the default Auran crossings (the ones without gates or signs) can be used with crossing signs to represent a rural crossing too (I can't remember the name of the crossings for the life of me sadly :hehe:).

Work in progress on CLP/CLF Class and bogies....

Hehehe, just an update for those waiting for the CLP/CLF Class. Check out the Oz Clyde/Bradford/Kendall bogey for the CLP/CLF Class, the one with the 2 sand boxes and 2 brake cylinders on either side for the CLP/CLF Class locomotives (work in progress) and can be used with or without the sand boxes on other Oz locomotives too which ever loco is using these. There will be 4 LODs with these bogies as the polygon count so far is somewhat higher than anticipated.

Getting along just fine with creating them as can be seen here. Disregard the step ladder on the rear bogey as I am working on the front one at the moment and use this bogey on the rear too for testing. I just finished one side of the axle hubs, the ones on the other side are different, hence extra work in these to do.

VinnnyBarb, I think you're at risk of making the model look better than the real thing! Looking good mate, thanks again for sharing the screenshots of the WIP!

WOW!! Absolutely stunning model there VinnyBarb. I readily admit, I'm not a fan of modern day liveries, but that is a magnificent representation.

Nothing happening at the moment, mate. Going through one of those Database lock up and rebuild phases and can't do a damn thing with the sim right now. Seems to happen occasionally and it puts me out for a day or two, but the break can sometimes be worth it. Ah well...

Acctually Azza, if you remember I put out a request to anyone who wished to have a copy. I ever only gave out 2. One to you for all the help you've given me with Trainz and Jamie (H222) because he was the only one who actually asked. I still have it in a .cdp somewhere IIRC.

Cheers
