Australian screenshots

Forest,

Nice shots. Is that route the Goulburn-Crookwell-Taralga available on the DLS, and if so, is it worth downloading? It doesn't look too bad from your shots, but i think if you're the photographer, a dead, flyblown, maggot-ridden cow would look good.:p

Apologies if i put anyone off dinner.:hehe::hehe:

Matt.

I believe the Goulburn-Crookwell-Taralga route is a pretty awesome actually. I did, however, swap out the default track that comes with the route for the bullhead track I love to use.

The downside is:
- there is a lot of sirgibby's payware as assets in the route. I just happened to have it all.
- takes some effort to get it working in TS2010.

There is also one item that is TC built-in, but I have that as well.

Oh, bloody hell!:( What sort of items are used, could you tell me?

I might have a go at swapping some out; otherwise, i've just managed to secure employment (12-month Retail Traineeship), so i should have some money soon to (A) upgrade my computer, and (B) get some of the nice looking payware that is available, including Sirgibby's stuff.

Matt...textures and cliffs.

I was actually considering updating the same author's (ntesdorf) Captain's Flat branch to TS2010, replacing payware items, replacing speedtreez and adding my own scenic touches and details to it... but I'm unsure how he'd feel about that.

Forest,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I suppose i could DL it and have a look at it regardless; it depends how many payware assets are actually used. If there are too many i would just delete the route.

Matt.

Thank Ghosty, Jamie and Forest,

Got them working + also the IMU now if you can help me with the LAL car. I fix all the attachment points but still get the follow errors and it will not show up at all.
Error: Texture 'qr_lal_body/env_metal.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'qr_lal_body\lal.im'.
Error: Texture 'qr_lal_body/steelbump.texture' is missing or could not be loaded for mesh 'qr_lal_body\lal.im'.

Hi Guys,

Here is a new project I've started working on, some modern day stuff.

20ftcontainers.jpg

There are a quite a few more liveries to come and once the 20 footers are complete I will commence on the 40/48 footers and some tanktainers. :)

All will be available as scenery and loadable products. All my future container wagons will have support for these and I will re-release my CQBY's soon with support added for these.

Cheers,

Wow, I checked this thread this morning and read through about three pages. I took a nap, and return to find only two new posts, one from Davido and one from Matt - both bombshell screenshots!

I'm loving the SSR 44's Davido, I onyl regret not being into the hobby when 4483 was cruising around with PPL in that livery.

Matt - I'm always looking for nice containers to place into container yards, as well as onto the back of wagons, and those are stunning!

Today's random set comes from some pre-teen, early 1980's memories when I tagged along with my uncle to chase trains around NSW's Monaro region.

The standout on the particular day in question was a "special" 48 class I saw for the first time, somewhere in the Bombala-Cooma section (at the time I couldn't fathom the livery in an all tuscan/indian red/reverse era). From the memories and a couple of ordinary quality photo's, I found this the best way to recreate this working picking up a couple of stock wagons, and just the general scene and atmosphere (thanks Muliebuck! ;) )...

Must've bounced then. Basically, I was just asking for permission to have a crack at reskinning your RUB cars into Indian Red.
Cheers, Evan.
Ah, I don't permit reskins of my stuff but in the case of the RUB cars, they're Natvanders. I released them under my kuid but the license remains with Nat, you'll need to contact him.

Cheers

Matt, Great work on the containers, any chance of a TNT 40 footer??

Jamie

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! :)

Jamie - if you can supply some photos I will be happy to have a crack at doing a TNT version.

Davido - The SSR 44 is looking the part! Any chance of an IRA silver version? :)

Forest Runner - You're always a pro when it comes to screenshots, keep up the great work!

While I'm here, i'd like to ask anyone if they have any photos of Pacific National RRYY articulated wagons? (The ones that carry the 'cartainers') - preferably of the wagon deck without any load, as I'm keen at modelling these? :)

Thanks!

Matt
