A little something...v2 - Whereizit

Well, it looks to me to be somewhere in the land of surveyor gods.:hehe:
Very nice, and it's good to see you back, and making the rest of us look bad once more.

I love the sky you're using; is that one you made yourself, or is it available on the DLS?

Matt.

Some of the grass is FMA stuff (I'm not exactly sure WHICH one, they got a lot of that sort of thing). As for the sky, I think its an FMA one as well, not 100% sure if its from their site or from the DLS.

FMA is content made by "Vendel" (I think).
Also, the grass in the foreground of the last looks like grass from "Janvis".

I decided to turf the other one and did it all over. Although it doesn't quite look like this now due to my incompetence. I fogot to hit the save button. Luckly the Auto save was a very recent one:

Hi all,

I thought that this would be a good place to give a shout-out to a certain trainz member, who has kindly gifted me with a copy of TS 2009: World Builders Edition.
So, to Pete, AKA AD60200:
:clap::clap:THANK YOU!:clap::clap:

It is people such as yourself who make this forum, and this (the Aussie) community such a great environment, with a friendly atmosphere all round.

Now, that's outta the way, so i'm off to see what all the fuss is about.:p:hehe:

you don't know the half of it till you get 2010:hehe:

Well, unless some other kind Trainzer wishes to send a copy my way, that may be a way in the future, i'm afraid.;);):o

Just loaded up '09, and it actually doesn't run that bad, despite processor speed that is slightly slower than that required, and a 2-year old video card. Granted, i haven't tried any driver sessions, and i'm yet to load any really large routes, but it does seem to me to be going alright. *Fingers crossed*

I'm trying to decide whether i tempt fate with a DL of Axe1970's GT-TR, or just play it safe, until i work out what my computer will actually handle.

Also, i'm having a play around with surveyor, and i'm wondering, what is the actual difference between the 5m grid, as opposed to the 10m grid? I made a small hill with both, and i can't really see much difference between the two.

Edit: Never mind about that last question, i tn=hink i understand it now. It's less about how terrain/textures look, and more about how the it affects the grid.

An update on the roadtrain,

three types, empty, loaded and tipping. You will be able to mix and match if you want to.

Still working on the C510 Kenworth

And now I am tired of tyres,

Cheers

Bill.

Bill,

Looks nice. I don't suppose you would consider a drivable version, just for something different to drive? After all, it is closer to a train than some other drivable content that has been created.:hehe:

Matt.

So, i whinge too much, do i?

Fair call. We all have our faults; no-one can claim to be perfect.

Especially not a young upstart such as yourself.:hehe::p
