Australian screenshots

My first go at some rolling stock, a NSWGR BGT 6000gallon glass lined tank car.
From a drawing by; David A. Wearne.

a work in progress and an other learning curve for me.

Now back to "work", more details to add.

Cheers,

Bill.

Willem2, that BMT looks great (The code was BMT in milk traffic, BGT in glucose traffic at the end of the tanker's life.) This will be a welcome addition to my trainz fleet:cool:

Bill,

Looks good, for a 'first attempt' at rolling stock.

Davido,

* blows loud, long raspberry*

You, sir, are no fun! All i wanted was a screenshot! What, you thought i wanted the in-game model?:(:(

......Before your magic is fully worked on it?

I hope you feel bad, insinuating that i was being a gimme-pig, and sullying my good name in the community!:'(

Matt.

Some shots from my latest attempt at route-building, after i scrapped yet another route, after making the silly decision to merge 2 or 3 half-finished routes together and work from there. Unfortunately, this left me with quite large areas that needed to be textured and populated with trees and buildings, along almost 35k's of track.
Needless to say, that one fizzled out pretty quick, and i started another route yesterday, after deleting the previous effort. I can only hope that i learn from my previous efforts, and TAKE IT ONE B***** BOARD AT A TIME!:o:o

Anyway, here are the shots, depicting double 442's working hard to haul a load of grain south through a rural area of Northern NSW.

That's how I do it, and probably explains why I favour building Muliebuck-style modules.

Unfortunately I'm very quickly discouraged and demotivated when faced with a huge area of blank ground. I dislike en mass texturing and tend to prefer creating scenes with objects and splines. I guess everyone has Surveyor preferences and dislikes.

Just a plug for the Aussie route building contest arranged by Boobless ed. (voting thread can be found in the freeware forum.) There are three entries in this contest, the contest has now reached voting stage. To overcome the the issue of the DLS not showing 2010 sp3, On request from boobless ed i have uploaded my map to "yousend it" for those that have not used its a file transfer site that will allow you to send files up to 100mb free, the file is held for 7 days or 100 download or whatever comes first. To download the file is free, so anyone intersted can download it here until the DLS is updated for 2010 sp3 content.

Hi Ghosty,

Have downloaded your layout but CM reports the following missing dependencies:
Unknown Location: <kuid2:126773:21004:2>
Unknown Location: <kuid2:126773:21011:2>
Unknown Location: <kuid2:126773:21012:2>
Unknown Location: <kuid2:146087:27101:1>

The last one appears to be listed incorrectly in the config file as 146087:27101 is listed on the DLS as ciuffi erba 1 by robertoconti 19? I have amended the kuid in the config file and this is now ok. However do you have any idea where the other three might be located?

Cheers

Ron
