Australian screenshots

Pete - seems we will have quite a good looking passenger car fleet to run behind your steamers! I can also see myself running some behind a 44 class or two :)

Gotta find my TS2009 disc, was hoping someone on these forums might know where it is.

(edit) Found it, was under a pile of discs on my book case.

@ red rattler, all my stuff is built for 04, lately I have been able to get a good cross section of people with different versions of trs and It appears they work in most version with minor glitches in some.

I havent got the book yet bear, its in the mail. Do we have a RUB set yet?

cheers
pete

Pete,

Nice work there on the NSWGR carriages :D, they will be a very welcome addition to your steamers and Davido's new 44's and 422's. And I don't think that there is a RUB set yet, so they would also be a most welcome addition.

Axe,

Very much looking forward to your new route when it is released, your attention to detail is fantastic :D .

In other news my CQBY is nearing completion, with the main body now complete, and the bogies currently under construction, so it will be available for beta testing soon. (will post screens soon) :)

Regards,

Matt

Not yet - Peter -

For some silly reason MacDonalds free internet will not let me send emails replys so will get that config back to you tonight = still got a texture issue with 09 and the 35 class ....

Pete - a RUB set complete with power van? Now that would be something amazing to see - the RUB and HUB sets are my favourites, and it's a shame there are none preserved and running. Victorians have the Spirit of Progress carriage set preserved at Seymour and Steamrail, and we have no real equivalent.

I thought there were bits of the aurora under preservation

There are, but that costs an absolute packet to go on, and one cannot simply go on a day trip in those cars, you must book an overnight trip. A day trip in sitting cars with sealed windows and aircon would be alright though. That way it reduces the number of foamers hanging out the windows and sitting in the isles trying to take photos of the locos...

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there 6 HUB cars preserved in running condition? Three go out on RTM tours every trip. Don't the LVR have a power van from a RUB set?

HUB/RUB sets are special to me because I got to do a trip with my now deceased grandfather on the flyer behind a 38 and the RUB sets used to run down the South Coast on the Daylight.

With your skill pete, I'm sure you could knock up a nice set of each if you wish to do so. Love your work on the FO's!!

You have some nice projects coming along, keep up the great work!!

content question

does davido's newest content on DLS work with Trainz 2010?
I purchased it a while ago but i know the very very 1st release of the candy 620/720 and city rail ones didnt seem to work (they were "red" in the content list in the game)....

just after some feedback

Alco_power,

I have all his content installed in TS2010. Some of his earlier creations have errors in them, but still work.

Warren.

DEB set continues across minnamurra river to Kiama.

Thanks!

IIRC DEBS only ran as 3 or 4 cars set , the reason was the way the aircon was set up. Anybody able to fill us in.

i remember seeing them here on the south coast and always has a 4 car set... found a few images online of em and they are 4 cars aswell. Wiki doesnt seem to have much answers about it either. will have to research that one however from what i have read it seems like an issue perhaps prior to candy colours as most screenshots i see of the reverse livery seem to also be 4 cars so much be a while back this was an issue.

Had a request on how i done the textures on the last photo i done hopefully this helps yah both. ( although these photos may look bad from the air lineside its alot better )

First i just place the one texture down in the area i want ( i always put the scale it max - personal preference ) .

Using the same texture again touch and hold down either the [ or ] key and put the same texture over, this gets rid of the repeature in texture.

3rd is the add a dryer/greener texture on top ( always using [] keys )

Yea trees can go anywhere i never really have a good way of placing trees down. Also sometimes its good to add a darker green under the trees as it gives that "shadow" effect under the trees. The textures under UK are pretty good for this. Dry texture also works if your going to add scrub underneath.

For grass ( and also trees ) you should go into the options section and turn on "Randomly rotate objects", self explanatory. For shrubs lineside i like the use Ciuffi Erba Secca or something similar to that plus the shorter JVC stuff in and around it. If you do this right and dont go crazy ( or if under trees going crazy can look alright ) it should make everything look pretty smick from the cab of a train.

Hopefully it helps you guys that asked ;)
