Australian screenshots

Hi All... Ive decided to kick TRS 06 in the Guts, and try working on my Goonyalla System Map now that I'm on Holidays... I'm as far as Hatfield, and I intend to get to Coppabella Before The Holidays Are Out...

I agree - I'm sure it must be fun to roleplay a little (I personally don't see the appeal, but apparently some do), but care must be taken not to offend people - especially when dealing with events like that.

Were you looking for freight or passenger trains to take a photo of? Next time you go, give us a shout, I should be able to find out what should be running and at what time.

I was looking for either passenger or freight, but the clacks were regular, on the half hour, every half hour until 7:00pm Saturday evening. I'm guessing passenger. Then on the Monday, when we went from Katoomba to Karuah, the trains west were running, I reckon, every ten minutes, or at least that's how often we saw them.

Tasrail

Hi

Colhad, I am a Tasmanian. I would love to see more Tassie loco's, routes and rolling stock in TS2009 or any other trainz. It seems that Tassie seems to always be ignored when it comes to Trainz. These are the first Up-to-date Tasmanian locomotives i have seen. I would love to see the DQ class (Or ZC class) In a faded Tranz Rail livery. Check this site: http://www.railtasmania.com/ It has all the information you need.

Cheers

Hi guys,

I got bored this arvo and I decided to start building (badly:D ) my local railway station area. Here is a screenshot of Woonona Station area. I included the local service run by a 3 car L set just for fun!

I just finished K1 for 04 -06 and this has been converted to 09 by billegulla. Both versions are on the DLS It's in 24 inch gauge

screenies..

hi all,
how do i take screen shots without the point names (turnout names) appearing as it really ruins the shots...

thanks'

At the top of your screen, you should have the option to turn "on screen help" off. That should do it. Also hit F5 before taking the shot, it gets rid of all the other stuff on the screen.

Uncle Rob page...

I hereby name this page "Uncle Rob" page. Namely because it's page 523, and 523 is his userID :P

Anyways, some new screenies from me. Just a small new 1 baseboard module that I thought I would give a go tonight. I plan to release it as it is now, just for a bit of fun. Build using only TS2009/TS2010 objects, apart from rolling stock and the two bridges, and one shopping trolley :P

A very dirty T 393 rolls across the bridge, past the site of an derailment. A KMQ that was left is visible behind the T class. Some track and a location board can also be seen, as well as some of the loads. Apparently the accident was caused by part of the bridge being washed away in a flood. It appears that some people have also decided it was a good dumping ground...

Further on, the T class rolls off the bridge and on towards a crossing loop situated just a little further down the line.

After the T class had left, I decided to wander around and grab some photos around the bridge. The first of these was this one of the two half buried wagons, and the pipe load, which were left to rust in the river bank.

Looking along the rail bridge towards the crossing loop.

Looking across the rail bridge down the river.

and an overview of the layout. I actually got extremely good frame rates on this board, even though there would be a few hundred trees and shrubberies(!) on there... :P

Very nice as always Zec, and others have been contributing some incredible work as well - maybe, just maybe, this may well be the spark I need to get back into it.

Hi guys,

I don't like asking for stuff to be built but I have hit a wall trying to build belambi station. Could some build a island platform similar to belambi by any chance? Possiably with the track already attached like the nsw stations do already in the game?

Really sorry to ask but its annoying me that I can't do it myself.

Cheers.
taggy.

P.S

The overhead is a beta from Davido. I'm not sure if he has released it yet?
I know his superb V sets will be right at home next to Wylie's Tangara's on my woonona route. :)

 Great screenshots Zec :D

In #2 shot it looks like you had trouble's with a flat car and some steel pipe's :)

you mean #1 and #3? :P

They're in place, and are actually 'traincar' assets. Thanks to the layers, they will stay there without needing a session :D

It's meant to be the remains of a wash away/derailment on the bridge :)

Here are a few more shots. As you can see, I have finished fencing and am now placing trees and buildings. I think I may go from Thirroul to Wollongong depending on how much I like this portion.

An overall view of the crossing and Platforms:

And a view taken looking forward towards Bulli:

I am doing this by memory so If you see anything missing let me know! :)

An update on the house. I've not got the basic 'paint' on it, however there's still a fair way to go on this one. Need to re-do the normals map once more (some stuff, thankfully hidden from view, didn't render properly), then do the ambient-occlusion bake. Then on to making the paint a little more realistic (adding some woodgrain, some dirt, etc, etc). Then LOD's (hopefully I can squeeze 2-3 out of it...), and then the fancy stuff :) (night-mode, smoke effects, and 'seasonal' changes if I can get it to do what I want it to...).
