A route I don't really spend much time on due to other things :( .

azervich_20150125_0001_zps2vyeblt4.jpg

Also due to it's size I spend allot of time on roads rather than the actual tracks/yards, here's some work on this yard is done, I'm always adding/deleting tracks with new research I get also the DEM made this area a mountain that's why terrain is higher.

Cheers.

Have been testing my new M class in T:ANE, on the Healesville route, with a 'suburban' passenger service.

M224 coasts down grade into Mooroolbark with the morning 'Down' passenger service.

Shortly after arriving at Lilydale, M224 simmers quietly before shunting it's train read for the return service.

Hi Zec,

I have a quick question. What do you use as an invisible station? I don't use them in my routes for the following reason.
I'm modelling the electrical era of Cityrail and as such, every station has car markers where the train should be stopped. To replicate this, I use track marks to stop the trains exactly where they should be on the platform. This works perfectly only the trains with animated doors don't work because its not at stop at a 'station' as far as the game is concerned. There are numerous curved platform's that won't allow for the typical 'invisible station' either so I'm wondering what you do. :)

Hi Taggy
To be honest, I kind of gave up on invisible 'platform' objects for the most part, as they just didn't achieve what I wanted. I'm not saying they aren't good, just that I wanted to go a little better.

Instead, I create my own platforms, based off Bloodnok's platform assets. He has quite a variety as well, so it might be worth looking them up. You can always 'overlay' a new platform spline over the top for most stations in Aus. They also support 'center', 'end A' or 'end B' stop marks (this allows you to have the train stop closest to the station building). The AI won't hit the stop marks exactly, but it'll be better than 'always centered' :) He may have done some curved ones, not sure.

You might also want to try Andi06's stations (although there are/were some issues with the 'navigate to' driver commands IIRC), especially for curved platforms, as they can support this better than most.

Something I put together last night, still needs Semaphores and some work on the interlocking lever frame hut.

It's been given a flatten map and bake so I can check the scale of it, seems about right so I'm happy with that.

This is an NSWGR S016 Silo, on the DLS by ad602000. by searching 'NSWGR S0' you can pick your size from the different silos :)

QR City Train - Nambour to Gympie North

Hello Everyone,

Just a few screenshots of a old route which is going to be released hopefully soon; after some minor reworking and tweaking as part of the QR City Train Project. This section is from Nambour [North] to Gympie North. Stage One is completed as far as North Arm. Please enjoy the following screenshots featuring BB18 1079 on a 1994 Yandina ARHS Tour.

DD560 and DD582 sit in Lilydale yard with a loaded timber train, with compressors chuffing as they charge their brakes.

Nice screenshots Zec and Rbar!

On the last screenshot Zec, how did you manage to get that angle?

azervich, I will be looking forward to finding a use for your creation

-cheers

On the last screenshot Zec, how did you manage to get that angle?

Thanks :)

I took this one in T:ANE CE V1.1, with the camera down very low (I was 'attached' to the tender, and then panned down), and the screen stretched across my two monitors to give the 'super wide angle' look. I also normally pause Trainz so as to be able to compose the shot better, without the train moving :)

Regards

Thanks for that Zec,

What's this T:ANE CE v1.1 anyway? Is it worth updating the CE if the full version will be out in less then a month?

-Cheers

I believe T:ANE was delayed to about May, but even so if you have CE already why not further help the beta process by downloading the update and reporting any bugs? ;)
