Australian screenshots

Hi All
To clarify on the repairing of faulty content...

The content can ONLY be uploaded using the 'Download Station Cleanup' system, and ONLY if they are listed in the 'public repair' list. You can find info on the DLS Cleanup here: https://www.auran.com/planetauran/com_dls_cleanup.php

If an asset isn't in the public repair list, then a repaired version cannot be released, unless you have explicit permission from the author to release a repaired version elsewhere. However, this isn't preferred, as it will make finding the repaired version difficult, and could cause issues when it is eventually repaired via the DLS cleanup system.

Regards

Peter,

I was down there to drive the D17 which was assisting in shunting a work train which is currently used to repair track to hopefully get it up and running to the general public. As Ravenshoe is currently closed due to the recent track maintence of the section, and to perform essential maintence on the No.2 Bridge & No.4 Bridges which require new timber to replace the worn sections on the piers and sleepers need to replaced on both bridges. The entire line is currently being in the process over the following months to be replacing sleepers along the entire section from Ravenshoe to the terminus.

The carriages have been re-railed just after the derailment around July or early August as Queensland Transport needed to assess the damage and compile a report to be issued to the Rail Safety Department.

The cause of the derailment was that it was to my knowladge a hot day, and the rails were expanding but the fishplates and dogspikes were loose, and the rails widened. This was not known at the time to the crew and passengers The D17 and water wagon went across alright but the 4 carriages came off the tracks.

Cya Around,

Michael Gitsham
QHR Commissioner Of Railways & Secetery

I assume you really mean you are going to help them repair the track as operations ceased due to the de-railment of four carriages on the return trip on Sunday 3rd June. http://ravenshoesteamrail.com.au/HOME.2.0.html

Nice work Mick :)

Even though I will release a TS2012 version of the Oxford to Queens Route, you are free to play around with it as much as you want, and even upload your own version. :)

Is the grass you used in the Nat's route built in to TS2012?

Regards

the wheels on the loco are to low michael, should be set at the same height as the tender, either that or the loco was accidently pushed down before export

G'day!

A quick announcement from me.

Trainz89 and I have been discussing the creation of a replica of the Old Ghan line from Port Augusta right through to Alice Springs. This route will NOT be follow the exact route of the real line, instead it will be a factual representation based off the route. The route will include landmarks and points of interest based off things that were along the Ghan route like the Pichi Richi Railway and the Algebuckina Railway Bridge. It will also feature locations that are named after towns the line served like Port Augusta, Marree, Quorn and others.

This will be a MAMMOTH project. Myself and Michael hope to build the seven-hundred and fifty kilometers of the line as it's real life counterpart once was. We need as many members as possible to jump on in this project with us and help us along with it. So any of you Aussie Narrow Gaugers, please help myself and Michael to acheive our goal of building this route!

Cheers!

Jake.

Anyone know of any good trees to use that dont affect the performance of Trainz when placing quite a few of them in one place? The builtin Speed Treez affect the performance alot on my Trainz, even when the settings are at a minimal level

Cheers Cameron

G'day!

Pofig's 3D trees are a lot less CPU hungry but still retain detail. They are brilliant alternatives for the built-in ones.

Cheers!

Agree that Scott's work is really great. Park Rd /Albert shot was interesting but hope you reduce that soot as one of my relatives lived near there before they built the freeway. Soot on washing day not welcome.

Ron, you are lucky as this old back up computer we are using since the computer crash can not handle trainz. I know you just went through the same frustrations and we will be ok eventually.
