More of Casula, NSW. The signalling of this area was heaps easy as there were only 4 5asp auto signals to put along the line. :p

What exists of the station so far. There is no footbridge, no level crossing, and no Casula Powerhouse, lol.

Looking south towards Casula station. The Georges river is on the left and Casula Powerhouse would be right in the center of this shot.

Further up the main south looking towards Casula. The M5 motorway is just beyond this shot.

ron

ron with a bit of luck early 2010
it's a easy route to build, but seeing i'm making it using trans dem it's in a region where i've got to make in three parts then merge it all together
then in time i'll add mt cuthbutt, kajabbi, selwyn, duchess, wee macgregor branch's
i'm about 1/3 of the way there

cheers,
patchy

They are superb pictures there Deadly! Very realistic:D
btw, are those houses in the background ones you've created yourself?

Awesome! :hehe:

The houses in the background are DmDrake City Scape series houses (kudos to Ausrail8040 for the tip) from the DLS. There are some houses which I started creating based of the ones you would see in SW Sydney, but I got lazy when trying to texture them... so they are still a WIP.

Oh, shut up, Mr QGR Commissioner. Leave the politics and 'role playing'/occasional trolling for somewhere else. It was kind of funny for a bit but now... Just tiring. It isn't funny anymore, and it's much easier to communicate using straight-talk.

Unless you come up with some new personality to amuse us with. Yeah. We get it. The strikes and all are something that are important. Why not leave it to a forum which might have more impact, such as Railpage. Why not outline your opinions in a less childish manner. I have had many political posts deleted. I probably won't post any again; however they have mostly been about avoiding talk of politics on these forums.

I'll probably get a warning or somesuch for this. I must admit, I've become a cynical cod here. But say things straight, have the odd joke, and leave it at that.

You're probably a great guy. Just stop this guise and get on with it. In my opinion, your posts read like an old Geocities website.

I've probably clocked up many thousands of hours making content for this game. I don't get much enthusiasm for finishing or releasing any of it, because of these sorts of 'personalities'. I like having fun on these forums. I remember when they were fun. All of this just makes me less and less enthused about bothering with what is left of this community. Perhaps you could give up this persona and try making something for the community? That might make things better for all.

James

Sorry to say but I agree with Boobless ed. It was sort of funny at the beginning but now the demanding arrogance of your tone has just turned me off. Couldn't you be normal like everyone else? Instead of calling yourself QGR commisioner and bossing everybody about. There is some fantastic work being done here which is a credit to everyone who contributes hard and long hours on something which will be probably be given away for free. There was another post earlier where a contributor of significance stated that the forums were no longer a fun place to be. It should be a place to display your work and get help and advise others, not to adopt a redundant identity and from what i can see, try to be kingpin. Me, I am nobody in trainz. I no longer play due to other family commitments, kids, disabilities etc and i work for QR. Nobody knows what lays ahead with the sell off but please Mr commisioner, leave the politics out of this fantastic community....
Regards Jason.

Wow, I have to agree with you Daniel, Deadly's work is looking great. I love the consistency in colour with the choice of assets, such as the textures mixed with the grass. Very subtle. A lot of routes seem to look unrealistic with huge jumps in colour across the route, and oddly contrasting assets. Does this make sense? Either way, keep up the good work!

back to business, there was a user not seen much these days who'se name I forget, but he has a site about queensland sugar cane trs content. Would anyone have a link or name etc

many thanks
pete

talking about cane trains
Someone was animating the little cane bin on shagsters site, I believe. Does anybody know if it got released?

I have a small layout where the little trains, push the bins through the unloader shed which has an auran tippler inside. It would be great if they actually emptied.
The tippler itself is too big and has SG track on it. I have fudged a 750mm track in concrete over the top, and the shed sort of hides the SG tippler.
Then the train heads out into the fields and drops of bins at each farm. When he gets to the end of the line, the little engine starts back picking up the loads.

I thought that this little industry could be so much better modeled. If the bins could be loaded at one end, perhaps by a trip up the track? out of site. and if a smaller tipler emptied the bins as you pushed them through the mill .

In fact I like the animated scenes we used to have. Such as the tree cutters with the Caterpillar log harvester moving in and loading the trains.
It should be a possibility to pick up two empty bins of the two foot gauge and winch them onto a trailer behind a Massey Ferguson tractor, which heads off to a harvester working a nearby row of cane. The tractor hauls the loads back rolls the empties off and moves up and repositions itself to pick up two more bins. The animation stops at the siding only when the train is working in there.
Ah I remember having this dream in UTC
Cheers
Rod

What you could do is put an industry that loads cane in the bins that looks like a front end loader has loaded the cane in. this industry could be made to take time (is it possible)
i wrote this part in white for a reason. has someone asked this on the content creation forum?

Thanks very much Deadly, dowloading those houses now. And if you do ever finish the Sydney houses, I'll have a home for them here.:D

All Quiet At Mayne No.1 Box

Hello All,

Dear everyone, Micheal here; I have just joined the Railpage gang to voice my views on our states railways so in meaning i won't be saying anything polictical or related on this thread anymore!!!!!!. My comments were out of place & i deseved an infraction. So lets put this in fathers saying the "bad cookie in the bin".

In other news the SCL has finally reached Helensvale after all these delays with the return of my computer. For the first time, passenger trains can run non stop at 80km/h but goods trains are restricted to 75km/h. This is run according to QGR 1949-1960 regulations.

Here are some screens

3830, that is magnificent, I could have soooo used that on my Zig Zag project, which I don't know if it's on the DLS yet. What is it called, and is it released? If not, will it be?
Thankyou,
Scottling.

What is? The catenary? the train?....the bushes? If so the bushes, they are built in.:)

G'day Micheal:) That first pic with the small shrubs is really good.

I think he's refering to the Cityrail V sets, which are indeed droolworthy. ;) I'm pretty sure there isn't an Aussie member here who isn't awaiting those with barely contained anticipation (last I heard, they were still in beta and hadn't been released to the public). ;)
