Lovely shots all. I've been working with Matty and Ryan on their Main South Project a little bit, trying to get the grades (and anything else) as realistic as possible. Boy, I tell ya, the trip between Cootamundra and Goulburn on a loaded grain train is a GRIND

I come from a land down under!

Not sure what's happening there Mike. Here is what it looks like for me. Notice also that the road bed for some of the track in your shots is different.

Hi Phil, the passenger problem is probably due to the merging process. Or the fact i am running the latest 22+ beta build.

Tracks i changed the original rusty version, that had brown ballast. To a rusty track with grey ballast.

Mike.

Probably a merge issue - I notice weird things happening sometimes after merges. The latest version of that track (<kuid2:368725:49030:1> Protrack NSWGR ashes, old timber, directly spiked, rusty rail) should have grey ash ballast. Some of the Protrack I use did go brown at one point, however ElStoko corrected it. I believe that grey ash ballast was quite commonly used in the area at the time I am modelling, especially on the branch lines.

Hiya Phil, first of all i should apologise for posting piccies of your route. With modified track assets, i meant to ask you first.

But then completely forgot sorry. The rusty version that you used, was showing as brown ballast in Cootamundra.

But i could not find a procedural type with the same outline as your default mainline track. But with rusty track and a light grey ballast.

Thank you for the heads up, in regards the kuid and rusty track info.

Mike.

No worries Mike, and thanks for your interest in the NSW routes. Your shots are an interesting contrast to the "NSWGR Grenfell Branch Model Railway" screenie I posted above. The use of PBR textures for the "Grenfell Branch" really does add depth to the scenery detail. I wish I could find a dry grass PBR texture close in appearance to the 'flat' one I use to represent the predominant late summer grass in WeddinNSW. I would then consider updating WeddinNSW to all PBR.

Grenfell Branch model railway looks good Phil. I have to be honest and say that model railways in Trainz are not really my thing, sorry.

I love the NSW routes in Trainz, they are all i install. Plus Graeme's VR Goulburn Murray Lines.

PBR does make a big difference to the look of a route. Shame there isn't a suitable one for you to use.

Mike.

I suspect you wouldn't be the only one here that feels that way Mike!

But for any one that is interested....

I like it! I can't afford to build model railroads, nor do I have room to do so. These model railroads are a great substitute, and once in a while I like to do the model railroading instead of simulating real life. Nice job Phil, really looking forward to this!

the same also don't have the wood work skill to add to that

kind regards
Tom

Been so long since I have had the chance to play Trainz due to real life issues. Good to see there are still Aussie content creators still making excellent routes.

G Day all,

You sure know how to put stuff together, really enjoyed the Photos here today,

I am not usually a fan of Orange in Locos, but the darker color of Orange with Grey Livery looks terrific, it works for me.

FootplatePhil, Model RR looks fun to play on, thank you for creating it.

Was looking at the Back Ground Blue with Clouds, against Brick wall, it brings all Scenery and Texturing together nicely.
