Thanks Jimmy for the nice comments - I do appreciate it.

I know how you feel, each time I go back to Sydney, it's nostalgia all the way.

However, I only put it all together - The people we should all be grateful for, are the content creators. Big, big thanks to people like Steve123, H222, NSWGR_46class, memeboy, Davido, etc, just to name a few, for the thousands of quality Aussie assets that we have at our fingertips. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the new SHB walls Steve, they really look great. A WIP of the south-side of the bridge.

Well this sure puts my Sydney efforts to shame....I know only to well how much has gone into this...congrats Roy.

Val, thanks for the compliments mate.

But remember there is a big difference in the types of routes we both create. You might prefer the longer layouts and because of that, creating scenery detail can be a massive job.

I prefer the smaller layouts with lots of activity happening all around a few specific areas. One of the reasons I have re-done this section extensively of my route, is because I want to include an animated ferry service that runs constantly as well. People will be able to get off a train at Circular Quay and hop on a ferry for a ride around the harbour. So I've had to make the harbour a little more realistic than what it was before.

I know you've put a huge effort into your route and I congratulate you 100%. I look forward to taking some NSW rolling stock for a run on your route when it is released. Keep up the great work mate.

Cheers,
Roy

As the French say 'vive la differance'. Yes, you are spot on re trackside detail, this image shown took 90 odd mins to complete yet forms a fraction of the route being worked on. Still we have a labour of love do we not! I too am looking forward to your completion. An AI run around Syd Hbr will be more than just interesting. Lots to do for us both huh :)

My screenshots never do anything justice, but Matt's new RRYYs are fantastic. The Car Container loads he's made for them are brilliant, and look like the real thing

Haven't posted in a while. Thought I'd share an Aussie rainforest themed mine set up I've been playing with tonight. A 610mm switchback brings gold ore up the slope to the railhead from this small mine.

Nice shots rastis. Typical Aussie textures.

In the first shot it looks like you've used the 3'6" procedural track with the 'ballast-mound' which rises with whatever track levels you select. Ideal for a switch-back and to get terrain blending together.

Let's see some more mate.

Cheers,
Roy

Hi Peter,

Whew! Now that's a route. It must have taken you years to put that all together, mate.

You mention that it's a WIP, however, I'd be really interested in having a close look at it.

I spent most of today re-structuring Milsons Point station, setting track levels, installing a little more of Steve's new wall and adding a section of the roadway approach. Small steps, but I try to make each step count. Hell, there are a lot of steps!!

That's awesome!

What loco and wagons are you using there?
