Would any have any idea if Natvander is still around the traps? I'd love to get in contact with him to discuss his NSW Signals. These beauties have been a must for the NSW modeler for many, many years and I wonder if he would consider updating them to include a few more signal types and functions. (Such as the more modern LED lights and possibly the older original colour light signals for our steam buffs. This could also include working Train Stops and Guards Indicators to work in conjunction with them)

No harm in asking and Id be more than happy to lend a hand to see them function as the prototype does. I have all my material used when I was going through Guards school would invaluable to him if he needed it. :)

I'm right with you on that Taggy, there are a few more different types of NSW signals I'd like to see get done. Maybe you should try and get in touch with Davido, as he did the scripting for Natvander's signals so he may be of some help if someone can build the signal meshes. Natvander I'm pretty sure is no longer active within the Trainz community from what I've heard.

I've thought about doing some more of the NSW signals myself but I'm too busy with other projects at the moment. :)

Cheers,

Matt

Mark,

Looks good so far mate. I also use his signals extensively in all my routes and they work well, however there a few major types missing.
I tried to find out about Nat, however he isn't involved in the game anymore and lost most of his stuff in major hard drive failure. We will have to find someone else who is able to make up a new set.

Hey all,

What are people's thoughts on the best NSW overhead for using oin building a Sydney layout (ie with up to 6 tracks )... Is Davido's considered the best; I know it is good but it is a very slow process to install it. Is there any other version that is quicker to use but still looks prototypical?

Mark

Mark, Davido's set (Both trackside and custom) are the best and very prototypical. It is a slow process but it looks fantastic once its in.

I'd presume that that's a TANE route? What route is it, or one you made? Victorian type signals with a NSW speed limit sign? By the way, would a curve that sharp really have a 110 km limit?

Hi, the route is in TANE. I started this in TS12 and imported it across. Alot has been done to it and aim to have it finished soon.
The track isn't based on anything particular though it kind of has a VR/NSW based theme.
The signals are searchlight as the NSW signals were not functioning correctly in TANE.
The curve straightens out just past the last loco, by the time the end of the train passes the speed sign it would not have even got up to that sort of speed.

Regards
David

Victoria and NSW use similar (almost identical) speed signs in certain sections.

They're also not even Vic signals: they're US. You're a critic and wrong?

Hello NSWGR_46

I have the same problem, which wasn't present before TANE. They are nice looking carriages. Have you found a "cure"?
