@Electro; Hi Poul :wave:

Still a lot to get through on Mount Morgan Railway Station. Just working on the building beams, and mapping out the rooms before the walls are added.

Here are the two latest updates.

Sydney Trains version T64, with Trial Doors fitted:

And here are the two Sydney Trains version for Comparison.

Hopefully it won't be long till I start putting stuff on DLS (mainly scripts holding things back such as the fleet of R/RY and Y Class locos and some rollingstock)

Jamie kept asking for PN versions of these, I prefer VR and V/Line era, I don't mind doing today's stuff, just as long as it's not too much work to convert a model.

Cheers.

the things you find anyone feel like adding a little realism to their creations ... I'd love to see this on a trainz city rail unit....

Hi All,

Aurizon's loaded container train 68W9 sits at Brookhill with the crew grabbing a bite at the servo.

What can I add to make it JR standard?

G'day!

I'm not JR, nor is my stuff of JR quality. But I'm going out on a limb here to say it really depends on the modeling programs you're using along with the programs used for texturing. My JR friends have told me that 3Ds MAX and Photoshop are the big ones that they use, that's what I use too, however there is a lot to learn before you get to JR's level. So if you at least want to get a JR look, try baking in MAX, as well as downloading some grunge brushes for Photoshop. (I just learnt of downloadable brushes for Photoshop and gosh it has made things look so much better and made them so much easier to do)

You're probably best off talking to the JR guys about this though.

Cheers!

Jake.

Hey there.

nice looking work..

just like to ask have you modeled on NG rail.. or are you working with std gauge rail..

I ask this as I'm chasing QR ng rooling stock and loco's used 2000 on around SE Qld.. for my Port of Brisbane route..

I'm after T;ANE compatible so build 3.7 on.

SO coal, container, grain and mixed goods rollings stock. DE loco's

as for the JR Qal thing...

Don't judge your work by the level of another if you have the highest level of work you can do and you are happy with it. then you should feel proud of your creation..

Saying that I know what you are after, you would like it to be the best and most appealing.

I"m the same.. It was so hard for me to reduce the quality of my work to work on what we had before even with ts12.. I have a very high level pc so things just worked smooth and to hear that others had trouble running route on their systems was disturbing as I really wonted it to be used by everyone...

it come down what you are chasing and what people will use..
best of luck and keep up the work .. love it..

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks!

@Jake - Do you mind if I contact you via skype messenger? I am a big fan of your work and would love to discuss the points you made earlier in more detail!

@Targy - Since your doing the port of Brisbane in the early 2000s if you want I can look at making a 2800 class and BEZY, BAZY class? Your a sorted in terms of the West Moretone coals trains as Williamg made 2300s and VAJQ's to a very high quality! (BTW I am working with NG).

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Clem -

Why? Is that good? It's just basically a blank baseboard with some texturing plus a backdrop.

If you search youtube with "philskene" you will find videos of T:ANE layouts that are a bit more demanding, again at full screen and 1080p

Critical specs are:

i7-4970 @ 3.60GHz / 16GB RAM / GTX 970 with 4GB / Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

With case, motherboard, power supply and solid state HDD it came in at a bit under $1,700 - MSY prices (I had my own HDD).

Phil

@Marknolan,

Great work so far and nice to still see that you are loitering around. I am very pleased to spot some of my recent content in the screenshots. Care to share what is the present progress to date on your route?
