..well, a couple of new ones yes, but I had more made and they didn't get through.
So that's the end of me as a creator........until I get TS2010 and learn the new rules. If that means getting my information from a Wiki, unlearning gmax and learning Blender from scratch...well, it may take a long, long time before anyone sees any more of my creations. I'm reluctant to go the 3rd party website option, I want my stuff on the DLS.
Cough... Its people like yourself that gave me the inspiration to start making stuff myself and I'd hate to think you have to give up because of, IMO, a few myths surrounding Content Creation for 2009 / 2010.
I have only been messing with content creation since 2009 came out, I had no previous experience of Trainz or any other simulator prior to this.
I taught myself based on the CCG as there wasn't a lot else to go on when I started and a lot of info gleaned from correcting a lot of the "faulty items"
Most of what I have made works perfectly well in 2009 and 2010.
Splines without dropping the version number using the traditional methods seemed to be a problem, until I checked out the Wiki, a bit confusing at first, however studying the configs of a couple fences of Zec's, I think it was, switched on the light.

For everything else the basics (watch the illegal and redundant tags) seem to still apply.
As for Gmax, I have Blender and and an ancient copy of 3ds but I use mostly Gmax, as I find it perfectly adequate for most things. Unlike my ancient 3ds it works on Win7 and having used it in the past for FPS type stuff it's second nature to me.
I have so far created around 300 odd assets with Gmax most of which are version 2.9 upwards. Not bad for a program that doesn't work.
These items by the way will get uploaded when I have finished the project I have built them for, as mostly they are pretty specific to the route.
