Is the color of the forum really that important at this point when the search feature is still broke. I just tried searching again with several keywords and my username. The results were a debacle to say the least.
I don't mean to sound sarcastic but why are so many people complaining about the color when searching the forums is nearly imposable.

All webpages on the internet have the blinding snow white color, most have a slight heavier font style, and a color of pitch black ... where as N3V has a dark shade of gray.
I hate to mess with colors, but at my age I must (Antarctic summers are hard on the eyes):hehe: ... as the entire internet has been blinding me with white background, and hard to read non-pitch black colored type.
Have you ever bought a product (like Aspirin medication, which the N3V forum now requires), and the print is in microprint, all stretched upward verticly, and all squeeshed horizontally ? Or on a food package they had orange print on a green background ... WTF were they thinking ?
If the font color was pitch black, and the font style was a tad bigger, and bolder type ... none of us would have any room to complain.
Yahoo Mail is blinding , On TPR I fixed the orange type using a gray background & black type font ... on all webpages internet wide I have applied the Firefox-Color That Page, and No-Squint.
So it's not just the new N3V forum ... the entire internet is chock full of idjiotic' color schemes ... hell bent on blinding us.

At least we have found a fix for the color.
As for the rest of the new forum problems we can only hope the big forum crash of 2012 isn't too far away.

The extension is for the Google chrome browser & is called ( change Colors )

Big_b, all it states for extensions is "No extensions installed"
Its not rocket science. Go to Google Type in Trainz Download Station - first result is this http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php bookmark it.

Any extensions have to be installed ( for chrome some are free some are not.If not free the price is shown )
Click on the spanner top right of screen
Go to Options then Extensions
Click on Get more extensions ( you are now in the main extension download section )
Type in color in the search ( change colors should be at the top of the list ) & click install
It will be top right near the spanner ( right click & go to options ) opens ( adjust your preferences )
When you select from the RH column you will be given a choice of what each area can be changed to
I'm sure many feel that way, however, RRSignal's recent explanation in another thread provides the reason for the change:

Big_B, their is no get more extensions, all I get is "Boo, no extensions", browse gallery" (Grr, stupid auto-save), click on browse gallery, then click on another extensions option in left column, and nothing about change colour.
Edit: It's not us that should be trying to change the colour from outside the forum. They should have either left it as it was, or got it correct in the first place, with some options.
