A friend brought me back for a visit on these forums, and I do NOT like the angle auran / NV3 games are going.


Even though they do NOT support old trainz versions... They do not have the right to remove the old threads and posts from older versions of trainz, form pre-2012. Such as trainz 1.3, trainz UTC, TRS2004, TRS2006, TC1+2, TC3, TS2009 and TS2010, What auran/ NV3 have done, is removed a DECADE of useful information from the forums that some people still need and use. Especially to those who didn't upgrade to TS2012.


I actually beg to have the old forums back... Not for me, I have left trainz, but for those who still own and use previous trainz editions, including me, I haven't upgraded from TS2010... I feel that the forums haven't been upgraded at all, they have just been changed to manipulate the consumer.

Auran, I ask, do you care for your customers? Or do you care for the money in their pockets?

You can decide if auran cares for you as an individual or not, base it on how auran has treated you throughout your time being with them, being helped by the helpdesk, or just buying new trainz editions.

The support forums for the old versions are still there and still have threads in them.

And it would not be a decade of information, but more like 5 years. All of the forum posts from before November 2006 are lost forever, because of the forum crash that happened then.

I have found a way to change the way the forum looks ,you can change background colors and foreground text.

(for Firefox users) That Mozilla download looks very interesting, but seems a bit complicated and entailed ... I like it ... however I still use IE8, and still can not understand why Firefox is so superior (I realize it is though ... somehow ... IDK).

Using the PC Command Bar-Tools/InternetOptions/Colors/Font/Accessebility is very easy

They have the "right" to do whatever they choose, as long as it's legal.

I wouldn't expect them to care about me, they are a business. They should care about my disposable income.

Why would I care if Auran, N3V, or any other business "cares" about me as an individual? They sell a product, and it's my choice whether to continue to buy it or not.

It's fine to complain about things you don't like, maybe the business will change some things to keep your patronage, but you need to vote with your money. A business isn't obligated to "care" for you, unless of course, they are in the caring business.

But no company is allowed to breach their contract (without a reasonable excuse), such as going against what is said in the written material in the games.

I've changed the forum to this in google chrome with a change color extension fully adjustable color & text

You may find that Bold black font is as bad for some people as is apparently the current scheme. Speaking from experience as an Admin on a forum, it is impossible to get the perfect display for all users without supplying user options to use a different scheme. Some users are always going to have problems whatever you choose as the default. The compromise is getting it so it's OK for the majority of users.

Ok the compromise is to let the user have some control over it....such as several themes, 1,2, or 3 don't need 500, and let the USER DECIDE which one of the 3 is the best for them. If one theme only bothers them at night, then they can simply switch themes at night. Or vice versa.

For the record, I like the new colours, I have no glare problems and find the blue/white gives adequate contrast. I vote for this version. I am using BenQ FP91G monitors with brightness set at 50%

I also vote for the return of the 'time line'
