Correct me on this, but I would dare to say that people with 56k modems are not the exact target group for playing a data-intense multiplayer game like this.

When did TS12 go from being a game with Multiplayer to a Multiplayer game? It's not Quake 3 (I think I just dated myself...)

If it had been only sold as a download, then I'd say it's update should also be, but since it is also sold as a physical product it's update should be available as one too. For a nominal fee that covers the cost of the DVD-ROM and shipping.

I'm saying if you have a cell phone that only allows me to use 20 mins of call time a month (capped data) you don't go and call people who talk a lot (this community download based)

Please do an extended database repair. Just like Oracle, SQL, or even Excel upgrades, the data may need massaging. I have to do this a lot with proprietary databases at work.

Why do some people automatically assume that everyone is into multiplayer?
And it's not just 56k modem users who have a problem accepting the download of a whopping great file. We are not all on high-speed broadband.

The patch killed my program it opens up to the main menu with nothing showing by railyard. cm will not do anything but sit there if I try to do a database repair it just locks up. trying to reload 12 NOW. Patch too big windows does not do well with 1gig patches

Did you try and EDR after you installed the patch? That might help

I believe an EDR is part of the patching process, my installation is also crippled, and repeating a EDR, at least when I tried, took about 2min!

From experience, I suggest you all WAIT a while. This is going to be painful for all slow connections, older hardware. Yeah, it bugz your Trainz, too. Some said Jointed Rail content, but I experienced RRMods problems, also. HEADS UP!

It is still done in trainzoptions -- but trainzoptions.txt is now an optional file (not required), and should reside in the UserData folder, not the main installation folder.

And it appears to DELETE your old trainzoption.txt file.

Heres my minor bug report. Raildriver buttons dont seam to work any more. All the levers and knobs work. But I cant sound the horn, or ring the bedd from my RD.

Might be a bug on my end, or with the game. Still investigating.
