Are you sick of track noise? I can help.

Sometimes I think the wheelsounds in TRS2006 were created by a guy down in his basement, hitting a ball peen or soft blow hammer against a tin can held in a vise, or a cowbell ... absolutely totally unrealistic sounds ... and frog sounds, let me shake my Craftsman metal toolbox full of open end wrenchs about

Actually, they were recorded from real trains. I heard similar sounds while taking a commuter train into Boston. When we crossed some points, I chuckled to myself because it sounded like the tracks in TS12.

Speaking of wheel sounds is there any way to disable or turn off the sound of the train coming to a stop in the background that runs when we turn on Trainz? it is rather disturbing to have to listen to that over and over and over..and over :)

I'm sure if you cracked a JA file you could disable or replace any sound, but I learn to live with it, and go make a Cup "O" Joe while Trainz or the CM starts ... or turn down my sound

It seems that if I put on some JR railcars it disable the tracksound kuid that I put in my track config, especially the square wheel bobber, that infects the route with it's wheelsound, even if you delete the bobber

Anyway ... I have a blast with Trainz tracksounds, switching cars at 1 to 5 mph

Just check it off in settings.

Look for "menu sounds"
