On our annual fishing trip, my Dad and I usually hit some national parks and railfaning spots along the way.
First off, the former Reading station at Valley Forge, now on the NS Reading line.

Next, we headed down to Harpers Ferry, where we caught a couple of trains. Before we had any action (there was a lull in traffic because of a bit of track maintenance.

Following the MARC train, w were expecting an eastbound MARC train, but much to our surprise, the train that rounded the bend turned out to be a CSX coal train.

We went across the street for a bite. While we were in the restaurant, we missed the eastbound MARC train, but I did manage to get a picture of this eastbound that closely followed it.

After we left Harpers Ferry, we headed to Sharpsburg. I got a picture of the former Antiedam station. NS owns the tracks now.

Here's a small Porter-built steamer that ran on a 3/4 mile long railroad through the Adirondacks. It's now housed at the Adirondack Museum along with one of the small passenger cars it pulled.

This was also hidden behind the S&NC shops, DL&W E8 808 and 807. I had no idea these engines even existed. Does anyone know anything about these engines, where they came from and why they're at North Creek?
