My Dell M1710 was optioned out with the T7600 “G” processor that has an unlocked multiplier. It has a “overclocking for dummies” option in BIOS that has a simple slider to adjust clock speed -

By bumping up the clock speed to 3.1GHz I got a little bit of performance increase at of the 2.3Ghz Core 2 -

If you compare this screen with the other one taken with the same scenario in RailWorks I was able to get a ten fps increase with this situation at 3.1GHz. Of course this is not going to be a straight across the board 10 fps increase with the overclock as it would very from game to game and scenario to scenario.
