Description:
A very muddy Volvo V70 estate wagon used in Britain as a highway escort for oversized vehicles. Includes night lights and engine sound. Made by request for Caddylars. I'm sorry about the fuzzy texturing and 3MB texture file Lars, but I had to work from still images captured from a video.

Pilot vehicle.

Hi Ron,

if you have any clear pics of a local vehicle (side-on, full front and rear) that

you would like and send it to me I'll see what I can do for you. :)

Cheers,

Bill.

Hello Ron,

Try Emergency Flashing Light Bar Yellow 04 <kuid2:184151:3224:1> by

VinnyBarb or EW-Rundum-Gelblicht <kuid2:185479:25053:1> by Edgar_Wood.

Both are height adjustable and can be rotated to suit.

Cheers Les.

hi les

the ligth bar is too heavy in poly's,
but the yellow corona is great for what i need

i found a lot of other bits from him that i can use.
the camera on the tripod stand for my wedding scene looks great

thanks
for all the help people

cheers
ron

When you setup the scene, you need to put the escort vehicle in the highspeed passing lane at rush hour with a ton of traffic behind him while he mosies along at 45 mph with the oversized load that he's supposed to be escorting nowhere in site!

This really gets the blood flowing in the commuters trying to get to work.

Ron

I just checked the Volvo, it's 748 polys. How does it compare to the poly-count of the other vehicles in that scene? Not being defensive here (in fact, I think it's a horrible looking model) but I am a little surprised it is ranked as poly-heavy.

hi john

its set just outsite or rockhampton on a building site

no road traffic yet.

that will come on a different add on

hi dean
i had 4 of them as per the pic one in front of each heavy and one runnign behind

in surveyor it gave huge jerks

when i did the other 4 with the truck it only gave me minimal jerking

i thougth the volvo would have been lighter too

who knows what happened

there were no flashing lights as yet either

will advise after i try them all with lights

cheers
ron

Well, I'm still surprised.

The red 'wide load' truck uses 3768 polygons and 10 separate texture files.

The Volvo has only 748 polys and 2 texture files (although the main one is 3MB). Maybe it's the big image file that is the problem, I don't know. Nothing much I can do about it.

hi deane

it seems that you could be right

with 4 volvos it stutters severely and takes 30 longer than with the 4 trucks

with the 4 yellow flashing lightbars it nearly stops it

havent had time to try the small round yellow lights as yet

will post results here when i find out

thanks
ron
