Yes this is a different world where trolls, dwarfs, elf, and lots of animals of all sorts rule and have a live.
It looks nice but like all nice things .... created(?) the nicer the more poisoned >> ouch lol.
If you are a little bit patient this week maybe you can dl it from our website. Pofig allowed me to do what fit best for me how to serve the community with his great world of speedtrees so you might find many in there that hopefully fit your work.

Since I posted that message, another kind Trainzer has helped me get all, or most, of Pofig's trees. Now I just need to understand the naming codes and replace them en masse with meaningful tree names.
It's interesting that "pofig" is Russian slang for something like "whatever.." or "I don't care". And Roy, there is a big difference between "Long" and "Loong". Which one do you mean me to be, a building or an uncle? :hehe:

Yes, 21 pages is right. There probably is a system to the naming but I do not know what it is.

Has anyone noticed the following ominous message on Pofig's website? This seems to indicate that Pofig has quit :'(
In connection with the violation license the Russian publishing "Akella" and some users, with new additions to the sites will not be. The project is closed.

For sure pofig closed because of the hackers/copycats who used his creations and posted them on the dls n elsewhere...
He supported me all the time and also allowed me to publish as fit on my website to allow users easier access to his creations with my routes.
What else can I say? Nooo i know how to but no I not go this track as it takes all time and effort to do only that and now I have other missions to complete the next 5 years.
Jan antons abrrevs are correct but that if take u 5 min or 1 hour and read his thread if still there he explained this too a long time ago.

So does this mean any routes using pofig trees are now useless and pointless?

the libs we(I) have are good to go for more than a few years and probably he will be back later not sooner. It's as always MF who spoil the party and even some enjoy it it to crash others intentions just for the fun of it.
Time will tell and who knows N3V has a forest rabbit in their hat but doubt it knowing their history of plastic rabbits.

Not exactly as Pofig has given permission in some cases for route builders to package the Trees, the problem is that his SpeedTree Licence does not permit commercial use so they can't go on the DLS. Some of the Multiplayer obsessed decided to ignore this and have been cloning the things without permission, despite pofig requesting they stopped, some were removed by N3V but the next one of the multiplayer mob clones them again and uploads another lot, I can't say I blame pofig for packing in. the DLS is filling up gradually with uncredited pofig clones, however they may well get removed again. N3V really needs to take the initiative here as there are others assets being cloned for multiplayer as well.
Pofig I'm afraid has given up as the trees just keep getting cloned again by the next "site" member.
The question is will the clones still be there in a months time, I can imagine that's going to cause a lot of problems for route builders not aware of the problem.

I should have asked pofig about permission to package his trees for the day I released my route. I've seen this coming for a few years since I started using his content. This is the risk a route builder runs when using content not on the DLS. I've been very good about only using content on the DLS for my route except for his trees. There's simply no freeware available that compares to his quality and selection when it comes to trees.

Well, I'm sorry to read that! Your route looks splendid, but I have made a point of not chasing down Pofig's content, and have already passed on some fine routes because of that. I know, my loss, but his releases have been problematic from the beginning.

I'm not giving up that easy Ed...
Maybe I can still make contact with him or if I understand correctly joosten will be hosting his content. I could point people there. Dermmy was hosting a lot of pofig's content but now he went off into the sunset.
I could always replace his trees but I don't see anything coming anytime soon of the same quality.

I'm going to have exactly the same problem, used all DLS or my own stuff which I have yet to upload, just the tree problem. Pofig has been posting in the Russian forum in the last couple of weeks, so maybe he is now contactable again.

Do you know of a link or email that will allow me to pm him? I have a feeling that site would be hard to navigate even if you were fluent in the Russian language.
