Sorry is I sound pissed off but...
From the start.
Right, this problem occurred on the 20th may 2010 where I was experiencing problems starting up (I do not have any details on it, just that I know that the computer started bu refused to go onto the desktop, and magically, it worked).
After that, I wanted to backup some selected routes... Just for when the computer packs its self in.
So... I thought it was a good idea to archieve the routes, and put it on a separate piece of hardware.
I selected and put in all of the routes in that I created.
But, I had discovered that I had put in disabled routes, So I wanted to remove a few without deleting any of the routes.
So, what I did was that I highlighted the route that I wanted to remove and right clicked on it, but there was no remove from archive button.
Where my problem began.
So, Presumably, I hit the delete button, I saw a message wanting me to delete the actual asset.
So, for some weird reason (that I know was stupid to do), I highlighted all of the assets in the list, hit the delete key, pressed yes, it started deleting the assets.
So, at that point, I wanted to cancel it, but it wouldn't cancel, so it deleted all of the routes.
So, the main point of this problem is because these assets were worked on month after month without a backup. So at this point, I was set back a couple of months.
This pissed me off because I knew I will have to repeat what I did to get it back up to the point where I left off from.
What are you, the forums suppost to do about the problem?
Absolutely nothing... Because I created the problem from my ignorance and just general... Taking my computer for granted.
Furthermore, I tried restoring windows to my last restore point (A day before the problem occurred), didn't work because trainz never picked up the changes.
I tried to restore the assets within the CMP, no keywords were available.
You could say, I just wanted to release this frustration out to the world instead of bottling what happened up so that I could feel depressed about it by making this thread... But without putting anyone but myself to blame.
