Anyone who owns "My First Trainz Set", I have a couple questions:

Got a grandson, and while he's 3 and probably too young NOW I find myself wondering about MFTS

If they had put "For Ages X and up" on the box, what age would X be?
Can you generally describe how it works/what it does? IE what's the player experience like?

N3V would be smart to put up a walk thru video to help answer my 2nd question, which would help me guess the answer to #1 on my own.

Hi Frogpipe
With a small amount of assistance, I would expect a 3 year old to be able to play MFTS.

The controls are all on-screen, and are based around a simple 3 button system (forward, stop, backward), plus horn, headlight, and bell from memory. There are also keyboard controls similar to Trainz, but still the simple '1 press' to go/stop/reverse. There's no direct speed control.

There is a short video of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0wF1doOxUs

Regards

No, from Zec's reply it's probably more like "Ages 5 and up" (since he said 3 could do it "with some assistance")

I have it, not good for me but might be good for young kids as a starting point for Trainz.
Not worth buying it by it's self.
