Anyone know of orange and white ICG, Illinois Central Gulf, locomotives and cabooses to get?

Found some cars on Download Station.

Searching forum for ICG, and for Illinois Central Gulf, in messages and posts got this "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

Looking at locomotives page on that Trainz Resources page got a 404 page not found.

Looking on Trainiax got a 404 page not found.

Google for Illinois Central Gulf +TRAINZ got some kind of auction site for model trains.

Watched ICG go by across the field across the road from my Grandparents' house and I want some orange and white ICG locos, caboose.
Used to drive through Paducah, Kentucky, on way there.
Anyone with any familiarity with ICG will know what that means.

later,
FSW

I have a few F7s standing in as F3As on my site.... check link in my signature... also some GM&O engines are there.

Okay, will do.

Got 'em, thanks.

Already have SOU Fs then take dependencies from, so that works out.

Well, it doesn't work out - they are invisible, CM comes up with missing dependencies - or strictly speaking "Unkown Location".
Plugged a couple of the kuid2 into DS and it didn't find them.

What am I missing here?

Kenny,
Don't tell me you just suggested the fictional EMD DD40AX? Why could you do that? Those things are just awkward in anything besides Union Pacific livery. :hehe:

on30gn15,
Firstly, what's your name? Nothing bad, I just feel more it's more suiting to call people by their real name, not just funny, random, usernames. Secondly, I can suggest many Illinois Central and Illinois Central Gulf locomotives!

Here, CincySouthernRwy made a load of Illinois Central Gulf locomotives. Such as early (and modified) EMD Geeps (GP7/7P/8/10/11).
Try a search of his name on the DLS and look under the "G"s (or where the search starts to reach that letter in the search listings) for the Geeps, and near the "I"s for the remainder of the equipment.

Then, of course, n8phu's EMD F-units are very nice additions to the ICG roster.

Additionally, RRMod's content master Joe (joram24) created some ICG EMD GP35s. You can find them in this list of EMD GP35s they made. Feel free to get anything else that catches your eyes:

http://rrmods.com/trs04.shtml

*Items were created for TRS2004. Issues with newer simulators to be expected.*

Go to the Auran Download Station and type in "ICG*space*" and search. Be sure to space after the "ICG". That's why you may get a lot of assets that do not remotely relate to the Illinois Central Gulf, but because they have "ICG" in the name, they show up. Using the space bar allows only the term "ICG" to truly be searched.

Once you've done that. Search "caboose*space*", and browse for the Illinois Central Gulf ones.

Sorry I couldn't get KUIDs! I'm currently downloading some of the said assets as I type!

Cheers,
Joshua

The on30gn15 is hardly a random set of characters, it refers to 3d model railroad scale/gauge combos I do, On30, http://on30center.com/ and Gn15, http://gn15.info/ and is my user name in several groups related to those.
Any rate, the first name is Forrest.

Have discovered more things show up in DLS if more of the TRAINZ version boxes are checked, I'd only checked TRS2004 and TRS2006, then ones I have.

What is unknown is how many of what now comes up will work in 2006 - pretty sure 2010 stuff won't!

Usually there is a story behind most usernames. The random usernames I refer to, are not really random, but the list of them seems random.

I made my username on the Bachmman Industries (yes, the model train manufacture) forums and at the time, I was in love with the Atchison, Topkea and Santa Fe Railroad. So I called myself "Santa Fe buff". It became to be that my unofficial nickname on the Internet was that, so it's common to find me under that name. When I can't space, I simply put "SantaFebuff". It seems the one-word version will stick more. I now love the Norfolk and Western. Great steam and diesel railroad.

I love those models you do! Nicely done as well. Anything before and up to TRS2006 will work with it. Anything over TRS2006 won't work with it.

Cheers,
Joshua

I picked up a couple of ICG GP 10 from the dls, let me see if I can find them:

You can also run the GM&O F units with the ICG ones and it is prototypical....

EDIT: there are also a lot of Illinois Central units in black on the DLS, type out "Illinois Central" and checks description...

EDIT 2: Also check out some of the GP 7/9 models on the DLS, in the config they may say that it is ok to reskin them...

That is something haven't yet tried.
Or much looked into; not a clue how to do it.

But . . . it would be useful . . .

Oh how I would also love to see more IC stuff soon, to some I am regarded as the biggest IC fan on these forums, and for good reason. In my opinion the Illinois Central was one of the greatest railroads of all time. I've had the pleasure of working on two of their former engines, #8733 and #6071. If you want good engines, I would get those F's made by Chris, I had them commissioned and he did an excellent job on them, I also suggested the GM&O engines and was not let down then either.
I highly recommend Jointed Rail.com's SD40-2, although in the modern black livery it is a very nice piece.

Hopefully, with luck, there will be more IC/ICG stuff in the near future. We need it.

Cheers,
Woody

SantafeBuff,
There is a story behind all of those "fictitious" DDA40x's. I cannot remember exactly what was going on, but due to possible licensing issues nobody could release any Union Pacific content on the DLS. Of course all was good in the end.
This was just before I joined the auran forum, about 2002. I joined in Feb 03.
