Hi,
I'm looking for a really good, detailed,American, modern day, route, thats based off a real one.
Any suggestions?:)
Thanks,

There is a great layout that is in Trainz magazine that is modeled after a train ride in New England. Go to this website for additional information. http://trainzs.webs.com/magazine.htm

Hi Wridenour, a couple of good American routes come to mind that you might find interesting are East Kentucky, and BNSF Clovis Sub. Both great routes I believe are DEM-based, and are made by Derrmy and you can find them at http://www.checkrail.com/ . I'm pretty sure they'll work in both 04 and 06. Also, you can head over to TrainzProRoutes, and find some nice DEM-based routes there, as well http://www.trainzproroutes.org/ Also, there's a few nice routes here: http://www.rrmods.com/ Those should be enough to get you started. Hope that helps!

Hello wridenour, I can certainly recommend the layouts done by George Fisher and Dermmy for authentic American routes. There are also those by Phil Skene as his routes can be utilised for American Railroad operations and excellent fps running on your computer, and a number of other excellent creators such as Chris Racer, Doolinator, Leeferr and one by jrcrawford4 called Piedmont and Northern, which is well worth a download.

Edit: There is another good layout done by gandy-dancer - KUID 128675 - called Maine Central, he did several versions building the route up over a period of time, and certainly worth a look at.

Hello again, one of the best American passenger routes that springs straight to mind is the NEC ( North East Corridor ) off the DLS done by neuman706 search for kuid 47583:100009.
