Any other Enginesounds like this?

Hello,

I have a British steam engine in my Trainz 2004 , called the Earl of Berkeley. This was done by Skipper1945.

I really enjoy the engine sound which has the KUID of 116296:16444. It is unlike the usual Trainz (2004 era) steam engine sounds which overlay each other and sound a little awkward (to my ears) until they finally get up to a speed over 28 mph at least.

This engine sound is more relaxing to me. It acts a bit like an automatic transmission shifting smoothly to the next gear. It actually sounds a lot more like the real British small locos they show once in a while on Thomas and his friends.. (no, I'm not a kid! I am a senior citizen)!!

My question is, does anyone know of any other steam engine sounds that were made like this?

Thank much, Bob P.

Hi Bob,

There are a few on the DLS now that will give four chuffs per revolution of the drive wheels if you have the correct entries in the engine spec file. The sound files and the engine specs sort of work together to give the right sound so even the best sound will not work as it should if you do not have the right Engine specs. Drop me a PM if you want more info.

Cheers,

Ok Bill69, I will send you a PM later today (Tuesday).

What I like the best about the engine sound I mentioned, is that it sounds relaxed and puffy, even at slower speeds, (with no overlapping of sounds as in the usual Trainz steam).

Best wishes. Bob P.
