Any experience running Trainz on Mac Book Pro M5 or Macbook Air M5 chips?

Hi,

I’m an occasional player running Trainz on my MacBook Pro M1 and iMac M1, and I’m wondering if there are any benchmarks or personal experiences with running TRS22 on Apple’s new M5 chip?

On the M1 chip there are huge differences in performance from one route/session to another. I have the graphics performance sliders set somewhere in the middle, so no settings at max.

In some sessions I get FPS well above 30–40, while in others there are noticeable lag issues. I don’t really understand the technical side of TRS22 and I don’t know why there are such huge performance differences from one route or session to another.

I don’t create any new routes, but from time to time I try to repair routes/sessions that are not working as expected. Editing routes and sessions works fine, although I still wonder why the built‑in routes are not better quality‑checked.

Anyhow, any thoughts and experiences are most welcome.
