I just came in here tonight for the first time in a year (You last visited: September 10th, 2007 at 11:31 PM) and have read all this...

All I can say is... there's too many Trainz products out at the same time. It's incredibly confusing, and if I'd have bought them all I'd fill an entire row on my shelves. Rather than announce TS2009 and at the same time say, "but we're doing an even better one shortly afterwards..." why not just do the one and make it the best ever?

It seems a bit silly to announce a new product AND its vastly superior successor in essentially the same breath. Who'd buy the first product when they know the sequel is right on its heels?

Still, glad to see Trainz is trundling along still. I have a friend who bought TRS2004 and was a bit disappointed (as was my dad with his copy) but was a lot more disappointed by Rail Simulator!

Warning: Don't buy TC3, wait for 2009. TC3 does not have the content in it you need for most of the stuff on the download station. Only content for the 4 routes in it. Found this out the hard way.

Your Warning is a bit back to front, in my view. TC3 is everything that Auran promised it would be, nothing less and a little more.

You should turn the warning back on yourself, as you obviously did not read the Auran publicity. Trainz Classics has been out for a year, We have the New York Version and the trams Now we got the UK version.
Why would you post such a warning? as we all know what Classics is about.
Cheers
Rod :)

Good to hear of all the promising new goodies.

I hope the new versions will make it easier to dowload height maps and use them in surveyor.

When I read the product description it says download tons of stuff from the download station. Try it sometime and see if the missing 2006 content makes any difference.

Well I struggled through the whole thing and I think I'll wait for 2009. I'm back to using "04" CMP has beaten me. The new grid sounds good, I've always hated the lack of decent control especially with textures.

No point

In my opinion there's not much point in buying 9 or X if the routes you spend months on don't show on the Download Station after several uploads.

At present - count me OUT!

Angela

Angela, Are these TRS04 routes that haven't shown up? I've always enjoyed your well crafted routes in the past.

Um.... and to keep things on topic; Woo Hoo, I hope that 9 or X are as good as they sound! Etc. Etc.

If you can type out a coherent message using proper English you might get more help. Capitalizing the correct letters, using proper punctuation and spelling your words correctly can greatly increase your understandability. That will increase the cooperativeness of the majority of the members of this forum. Asking you to word your post in a understandable fashion is NOT being racist. From past experience the first ones to scream racist are usually the ones that are racist themselves. If not that then they are trying to scare people into doing what they want by screaming racist. I've had people try that on me before and I don't go for that. I really don't give a dame what color you are or what ethnic background you're from. If you cant communicate appropriately don't be expecting much help.

Bill
