An MSTS route people have wanted in trainz badly... SEAVIEW!

The Seaview 5 Route for Microsoft Train Simulator has been wanted in trainz for a while by many. I am working on making a portion of it in Trainz 2010 (will move to TS12 after I get it). It's the portion from Coconut Island to Igloo Island via Spalding Island, Soggy Island, and Ocean Bottom. I may consider adding the rest of the route after I get TS12 and move it over. So far I am working on Spalding Island(but not nearly done with it). Got Coconut Island and the Sky City port atea done after about a day's work (yesterday afternoon to about now). If someone could, I need a model of the Coconut Idol (if anyone knows what it is) or at least a giant coconut I can stack a bunch of times to make it. I have absolutely NO modeling skills in any 3d programs but I will learn in about a year. I will try to post progress shots as I get areas done, for now let me find an image hosting site:sleep:

It's just a bunch of coconuts put together. You could find one.

And make sure it kinda looks like Jim Ward.

Ha Ha XD thanks for the advice right now i'm trying to upload the pics to imageshack

Edit: pics won't come for about another 10 min.

one more that didn't make it in there

The rolling stock is based of the P40 and MK1 reskins for the actual Seaview 5 on trainsim.com; The seaview logos are from that P40

word of advice/half-gimmepig moment: for the love of god, make sure the route is compatible with TS2010 vers. 3.3! :udrool:

I've heard of "white sand" beaches before, but yours is the white-est I've ever seen! It looks like a worthy project though, so keep at it!

The route is being made in TS2010 build 49933. Maybe you're in luck! :)

yeah it's a default TS2010 texure. Really bright!

I didn't know they had palm trees in Alaska. Oh wait that"s snow on the beach, very strange. You may want to find a texture with a hint of tan in it or at least a little dirty snow color if it is truly a white sand beach. White colors like that don't work well in Trainz due to the white sun that Trainz has. It tends to wash it out completely.

thanks for the tip, i'll look on the DLS for a darker texture :p

Here's some new progress pics. Found a better sand texture to replace the bright sand.

Before and after of the sand textures. Is the new one better? It's Trainzer2's seasonal sand texture.

This is where I left off yesterday. Added more track today. Almost at the Mango Grove area.

Prepping the Mango Grove area

working on the Mango Grove trackwork

Mango Grove trackwork complete

Spur to "special" area

End of the line for now

There are a few of those Cab Island sand textures that i think are built in?? Layering them with only the white for highlights works well IMO.

Yeah those are built in. I just think they're a little too bright for some spots, but also one of the textures are too dark. Trainzer2's SeasonalSand on the DLS worked perfect though. Just in between too bright and too dark. ;)

Just to let everyone know, this project is not dead but on hold until i get a new graphics card and Trainz 12 :mop::n:. I've decided to make the whole route once i get Trainz 12 and then will be released...somewhere. Just wanted to let everyone know since many other Seaview projects have died :(.

SeaView 5 update?

hey just wanted to see if you were making that route i used to play it all the time and would love for it to be finished
