Amusement Park

Looking good with those new fairground rides you've added....The Wave Swinger is another nice asset which you probably have on another part of the route.......good work......keep them coming.

Hi, Thanks hotgrove, I think its finished unless you can see anything that is obviously missing.

I can see you have added the Wave Swinger....Your amusement park looks brilliant. There is a few other assets i used on a similar type layout that i can't find on the DLS anymore....one is the KMD Fireball (high pol) the other is the Sky Diver (a large Ferris Wheel) both by austin316hockey.....I have a screenshot of the Sky Diver but don't want to further encroach on your thread......well done with the route.

This is really amusing :hehe:

I love this amusement park route !

As a note: Portable fairground rides are usually on muddy grass ... where as permanent amusement parks are usually asphalt paving

Hi again,

The Park is supposed to be a semi permanent one, the rides and Circus are packed up for the winter leaving just the play ground, roller coaster and mini train. Which gives the grass a chance to grow back. Imagination!! I did couple of Videos but they turned out terrible, out of focus and terrible frame rate. Much better in game.

Love that last shot with an overhead view of the park......in answer to your question carr i built a similar type route which i called funfair island.....i had a working rollercoaster (not the proper cars though) working go kart track, cable cars and chairlift.I had the amusements on the main promenade. The screenshots can be found on a thread i started called "one board layouts screenshots" .It looked great when it was all working however i lost everything when my hard drive blew a gasket.

Hotgrove, I found your one board layout thread, but no screenshots either in this thread or in screenshots.

Hi All,

It's been a year now since I posted the amusement park shown above. Well, I have now built another one. This one is a freelance version of 'Plopsaland' in Belgium which is just outside the town of De Panne. As you may be aware this is on the Belgium Coastal tram Route. Which is on part of the route being constructed by Belgan46.

1) Just got off the tram from Oostende. 2) Main pedestrian entrance. 3) Overview of the site. 4) Boarding the Rollercoaster. 5) On the Rollercoaster.

More to follow:

Nice work carr.Like that rollercoaster.

There's a few fairground rides there that i haven't seen before like that hexagonal shaped one in the final screenshot.

Hi Hotgrove,

If you type in DCS as a 'keyword' in content manager you should find a few of them, trouble is they are all non working.

Oh well time to go home shell we:

1) Catch the bus or get a taxi. 2) Which of these trams. 3) Walk 4) No here is our tram.

Thanks for looking.

I hate to bump this thread, but what are those green grass-covered tracks that the trams run on in the first few pictures?

Hello carr, nice to see this little gem again.I remember it well.

I have plans for my own tram route to visit a theme park but i'm nowhere near that yet.

I found a bumper car ride (static) on the DLS a while ago which i plopped onto a blank baseboard for future use.Your park seems pretty full to me though.Very nice work.
