Amtrak Genisis

Does anyone now where I can find any Amtrak Genesis style locos?

I've been looking for over six months. I've tried everything I can think of to get "magiclands" version to work with no luck. It must be missing some dependencies. I've downloaded directly from his site ProTrainz.com and used TrainzObjectz but they still won't work. I'm not sure if he is even around anymore.

If someone is using his version successfully maybe they could email the correct files.

www.protrainz.com they are the same units as the ones on the DLS; but they work.

you might also try www.amtrakgeekzone.com however I am unsure if the site still works.

there were only a few F40s put in the Phase V scheme to begin with. most by then had been scrapped, turned into cabbages, or turned into NPCU units fro the Cascades service.

Just a suggestion,

On the DLS, there is a repaint of the Trainz Classics MN/NH Genesis locos. It looks and sounds great, and it is my favorite amtrak loco for trainz. On the DLS, type AMTRK, not AMTRAK and it will come up.

They do. I have it on tape.

What you probably have on tape is a former F40 that's been de-motored and converted to a cab-control (NPCU) or cab/baggage unit for push-pull operations. Amtrak did not have any operating F40s in Phase V - a few managed to make it to Phase IV and 3 or 4 ran for a short spell in Surfliner paint, but that's as far as they got while still under their own power. None were Phase V until they were de-motored.
